Carvell was excellent tonight. I suppose like the rest of the team, you could say he was fantastic for 50 minutes then not so good for the last 30, but I thought his go forward in the first half especially was immense. He'll be a real asset to us.

Exactly my view of the game; the forwards were all excellent, the backs were poor.

And if there is a player with a better work ethic than Ben Westwood, I certainly can't think of one.

He was very good yesterday also bringing him off and putting a very slim looking Rauhihi on was a good idea.
