,showed really good aggression first half, was well in control, couldn't quite match it second half, but did enough for a really good win.

Good to finish the home campaign with a good win. If only the same effort and commitment had been seen for the rest of the season, who knows where we would have finished - certainly not bottom.

Priority signings must now be Wilkinson and Carr.

I really hope we see a full season of a fit Tom Carr in 2016.

As said by Gerry Monside, with the kind of effort shown today, we wouldn't be where we are now, but doubt anybody predicted it.

Well done lads,superb performance first half but a bit of a scare early second half before coming good again at the end.Team looked faster and fitter with quicker play the ball and more aggression. Welham was brilliant and Carr beginning to look the part.All bodes well for next season,glad I got my season ticket.All the very best wishes to Shaun Leaf for his years of loyalty and commitment.

I agree. Wilko looked a handful in the first half. Carr looks as though he could be very useful too although it was very immature of him to punch the ball halfway to the end of the pitch in the last ten minutes when the ref gave a knock on. Another ref may well have given a penalty against him ... and we were hanging on for grim death at that point. I hope someone has a word in his ear.

It was nice for the fans and good for the players to end the season with a home win.







I can't wait for next season to start and to see who else we'll got lined up for 2016.

See what one win can do against a side which has duffed us up home and away for the last few seasons.

Great effort from the guys today, the team are certainly looking fitter. Wilko got injured again today but dont know how bad. Heard a rumour Wilko has signed for another team, he is a good player when fit but seems to be injured more than playing. We will have to see what happens.
I think a fit Tom Carr would be a very good player and i am glad he has signed.
Season tickets purchased for what i hope is a good 2016 season.

also waved goodbye to the supporters and though not always happy with his penalties given away always gave 100% and tackled all that came near him. Great effort today against a team 2nd top of the division and "yer bent" ref. went home a bit more hopeful for next season.

If the rumour ive heard about Wilko and another player is true then they cant be part of GT's plans.

On the game today , a great performance from the lads I thought. There was a short spell in the second half when I thought we were going to let them back in but we hung on in there and took the points.

How the hell though have Dewsbury finished on thirty odd points?? Even at their place we should have beaten them.(We were robbed 2 mins from time if every one remembers)

Fantastic result yesterday ,if we had played like that from the start of the year it could have been a very different story.
Rumours circulating in the bar suggests most of our current squad are heading to pastures new, with York being the preferred destination of five or six of them,
Sounds like quiet a few of them are unhappy how they have been treated in negotiations with the club and have decided to move on .
Most being our standout performers over the last few years if rumours are correct.
I, along with my two companions did not purchase a season ticket yesterday after hearing this and will wait and see who the club has lined up to replace them, before parting with my money.
We cannot have another season like this if the club is to survive , I like most fans would rarely miss a home game and would travel to most of the away games (Shifts permitting)but this year I have found myself thinking of other activities to occupy my weekends as I feel let down by the club.
If suitable replacements are not forth coming on the playing staff, then I along with my friends will look at other ways to spend our money and time

It's bad if York cream off our good stuff ... them probably being rivals and all next year.

Mind you, I think you have to be hard in negotiations, most of the players at the Dons don't have much bargaining power after the season they have dished up.
I hope however that they aren't going to pastures new because we can't pay decent wages and are still penny-pinching.

We needed to keep Wilko and a couple of the others.
But Wilko's lack of luck in the fitness stakes may have had a bearing .... dunno.
No use having a cracker if he doesn't play much is there?

Anyway, it would be nice for the players to win at Whitehaven before they depart and go their separate ways.
They will remember their part in this season at Doncaster as the worst of their careers.

It looks like Carl Hall will once again be doing his Trevor Eve impersonation and running the club on a Shoestring.
Some of these kids look great on highlights reels but if they were really that good why are they being released and dropping down to the lowest level of professional rugby, or at least snapped up by Championship clubs.
I remember seeing the highlights from Brooke Broughton's time at Warrington and thinking WOW ,however the reality was somewhat different.

Anyone showcasing their skill in a promotional video is going to show their best bits, it would be professional suicide making a video of your missed tackles or dropped passes now wouldn't it.

We had the spiel last year about building with youth ,and look what happened , most left due to lack of game time or through a lack of confidence in the coach to play them.
Some of our current squad are starting to establish themselves, with Walton and Foster showing plenty of promise in recent games.

Lessons need to be learned from last season ,we need a good pair of halfbacks and more grunt in the pack, all too often we are out muscled in the forwards leaving our half backs stifled of quick ball.
Champ 1 will be no cake work for any team next season, and I fear that we will once again under estimate the quality needed to be competitive and fall with the also rans.
Newcastle are a case in point, big budget, high expectations and languishing in the lower half of the table.
