I agree mate and I will be going even though I think Saints will win comfortably.Widnes fans are too used to Championship prices.Personally I would rather pay an extra £5 to have a better atmosphere and quality.

You certainly displayed more attacking creativity than St Helens for much of the game. Your kicking game was much better than St Helens as well.

Although a friendly its quite clear the team don't intend to simply make up the numbers and once the team gels a bit more some of the other clubs will not look forward to playing against you.

It was supposed to be 13,000 and sold out but the attendance was less than this which is strange.

Where did the 13,000 figure come from? It was announced by Saints as a reduced capacity but I don't remember them ever putting a figure on it?

How did Stefan Marsh go?

He played okay, took his try well.

Didn't do anything outstanding though but he certainly didn't do anything bad. Fairly solid game with a well taken try would sum it up really.

The two players I was most impressed with where Rhys Hanbury and Anthony Watts. Both looked creative and marshalled Widnes round the park well.

Rhys Hanbury was the best player on the pitch for me, very good kicking game and looked threatening in attack. Certainly had the measure of Soliola and scored a good solo try.

Went last night and thought the boys put in a fantastic performance. I'm glad Flynn played well, as he was one of the players I thought would struggle at the highest level but he proved me wrong last night. Watts and Hanbury were superb along with Briscoe and Isa I thought.
Yes the result might be against us but at the end of the day we get the last laugh for getting the first ever try at Langtree Park
