I think we will give you a hiding in one and the other maybe an upset. Similar to Salford last year. Be great that you have 3 years to build and don't have to panic sign to make sure you stay up. I know you have some great kids coming through and you now have the time to see if they have what it takes.

I have no doubt that plenty of hammerings will be dished to us next year but as long as we stick together we should be able to avoid the wooden spoon and build the year after. Ill be intoxicated at your gaff anyhow to mask the pain of the inevitable hammering.

People have tipped us to have an outside at making it before, not till last year have we been serious contenders though. I still think we struggle when playing from behind. If we get 12-0 up were virtually unbeatable, if a team stay close to us, it takes away our ability to play fast, attacking rugby as we don't have the margin for error. If the playoffs were in summer we'd p*ss it. I think next year is our last chance for 3 or 4 years as we will lose Moz and Briers soon. Will take a year or two for a new team to gel.

We were the first team to beat our home buddies the Wire at their new staduim, very doubtful this time I thiink (with out Bed Partners) but who knwos eh (fingers crossed) I just hope its not as close as the first time we played them in super league, it realy was a nail biter (twitchy pants moment) he. Does anyone know how many tickets you have sold for the friendly at Langtree Park, I believe the crowd will be limited to 10,000 for this game and I am curious to see how many tickets we gave to Widnes?

Really can't see Widnes bringing anymore than half a mini bus full to your place for the friendly.

They'll probably bring one or two more for the league game there like.

I'd imagine Widnes will provide you with 1000 or so speccies, maybe more. I doubt many of them will buy tickets beforehand, unless this is a requirement?

Friday 13th - don't be unlucky!


The Friday 13th ticket deadline for the Saints versus Vikings game on Friday 20th January is looming.

Given this game is being used as a test-run for certification purposes at Langtree Park the overall attendance has been restricted. The Vikings only have a limited number of tickets available for this annual Karalius Cup fixture and any not purchased from the Vikings Superstore by 3.00pm on Friday 13th January will be returned to St. Helens and consequently freed-up for their own supporters.

Please be aware, this is a ‘Ticket Only' event and there will be no pay at the turnstiles facility or ticket buying opportunity at Langtree Park on Friday 20 January, so act now...or miss out!


FROM THE WIDNES VIKINGS WEBSITE

Saints have now advised that Widnes haven't taken up all their allocation of tickets and so more Saints fans can purchase tickets for the match. Good job really since we'd pretty much sold out our own allocation. The limit is 12,000.

Sad that more Vikings didn't want to join us, especially as the match is in memory of a great player for both our teams.

A fair few Widnes fans have been put off by the price (and having to purchase in advance) I believe. Demand probably would have picked up nearer the game but understandable Saints will take them back to sell to demand.

I doubt Saints could have sold on the gate at this match as it is to secure a safety certificate so I would imagine they will need to know in advance that they are under the agreed limit. As for the price, that debate has been done to death I think!
