I agree a change of coach is required but I also think any coach would struggle with the halfback predicament. Horne is forever injured and Long who is also injury prone is on the way down in his career. Obst is nothing more than a stop gap. Surely the money spent on a very average Westerman would have been better spent on luring a halfback.

In 2009 we lost 17 out of the last 22 games then the board gave him a new two year contract 8 games in to the 2010 season (after losing to Crusaders and Salford).

That argument just doesn't work anymore. Nathan Brown and Michael Maguire are living proof that the coaching role in rugby is about 50% of the battle to compete at the top. Do you really think we would have won the grand final if we had Deacon and Leuleui last year? Because Wigan did, and I don't see much more talent in their squad compared to ours.
