| About bleedin' time.
You do have to wonder about the whiff of union canker over the lack of honours in League. Same mob that killed telly coverage & continues to try to block our game at any opportunity.
Hope we get to cheer him & his gong at the next game ( & for many more in the future).

| I'm sure fans of every club (I'm Hull FC) will say "not before time" and are delighted that Billy will be the first to receive this honour. Let's hope this is the first of many that our sport receives (albeit very belatedly). Well done Billly Boston, we're all proud of you.

Absolutely, well overdue. you never know, it may be like buses, and the one for Sir Kev may turn up much quicker than the sport has waited for Sir Billy as a Wigan fan too young to see Billy play i'm still star struck when i have been lucky enough to meet him / be in the same room as him. He's an absolute legend and i just stand there looking at the great Billy Boston, and telling my daughters Onto Kevin Sinfield, if there is ever anyone deserving of a knighthood now, then it is him. The work he has done since retirement and the support / love he has shown for Rob Burrows is unbelievable. They chuck gongs to all and sundry for doing a fraction of what Kevin Sinfield has done, especially when you see the politicians / footballers getting them for bugger all

If Sinfield didn't get one, then I don't see any point in them being given out anymore and they may as well call it a day.

Huddersfield1895:Lets also not forget Ellery Hanley. By far the best player i have ever seen play and i include watching the Ozzie touring teams in that, of which there have been many great players I suppose with Ellery after an illustrious career he has shunned the limelight somewhat after his relatively brief coaching career. Compare him to an ex footballer, who has a PR manager and been crying about not being awarded one for years til he gets one, and they are like chalk and cheese. I'd absolutely have Hanley above him, but the media and his PR team wont stop til he gets it, then we wont hear the end of it
