Exactly, if we are wanting to build a team around the players like Holdsworth then we need someone younger than Proince!

Well Bomber said a couple of weeks ago that Miller was a no-go and I'd be fooking amazed if we could lure Prince from the Gold Coast to come to 'Ull with the contract he's on.

Prince would be the best No7 in SL bar none but I'd be much happier, and more monetarily sensible if we could lure Miller with his potential and being the right age.

Would much prefer we sign Miller than Prince. Miller has lots of potential & is already a very good player. I think his signing with the amount of 7's available would a great signing. True he isn't a marquee signing or the big name Pearson wanted but we all know at the time these big claims were put out Pearson felt Chase was in the bag. Looking around what is available Miller could be a very shrewd signing who could be our halfback for the next 3/4 yrs and along with Holdsworth give us some much needed stability in the halfs. Something which we haven't had for far too long. People have had their expectations raised beyond previous levels due to the statements put out by the club so whoever we sign to partner Holdsworth will now seem a let down to many fans. However should Miller come then we could certainly do a whole lot worse. Prince isn't the answer & I'm sure Miller will be cheaper to allow us to move forward with a balanced squad. For once we have a coach who has a clear vision on the way he wants us to play, the type of players required to do that & an owner willing to do as much as possible although restricted by the salary cap in order to take us to the top. Having seen the impact such players as Dobson & many other players deemed not to be big names at the time when they have come over then going with Miller would excite me much more than some 30+ player coming for a last payday. One of my favourite players ever to play at Hull was Greg Mackey who was no superstar over in Australia but with a balanced squad, hard work & everyone pulling in the right direction as a club we won some silverware. Big name signings do not always lead to success take a look at Leeds in the early 90's they spent more then most yet didn't achieve too much on the pitch for all the marquee signings they rolled out. The club is trying to move forward & improve things on the pitch. The salary cap & lack of available talent has made things tough but Gareth Ellis is the biggest name import for next year & we have him so we ain't done too bad. I for one am happy to see the club striving for success, a real sense of the right attitude & culture around the place. People have short memories. We were a lot worse off with Mr Lloyd in charge not all that many years ago! Thinking about the Lloyd era what good did the marquee signing of Alan Hunte do for us back then? It was was definitely the not such a big name in Steve Prescott who gave the fans the entertainment, commitment & pride that above all is what we want to see.

If Prince was to leave the lucrative 2 years he has left on the GC we'd have to pay him silly money, which he wouldn't be worth.
He's not what we want and would leave us with no running game or pace in the halves.

Benji is not coming, the likes of Prince is about as good as is available right now and thus might come and would be a class act in SL!!
