I am happy with this utterly. Sure he maybe has not been amazing, but he wears his heart on his sleeve, is English, Fc academy and wants to play for fc. Wish some of the other cretins in our side could say the same thing.

He is clearly not someone who we should be offloading and replacing, we have much bigger fish to fry.

Very happy he's staying, no one better available IMO. Maybe a year too much but i suppose given the quota and taking "other" interested parties into account i can see the reasoning.

Will get a testimonial year, so hopefully this was negotiated into a reduced basic salary.

not sure that he deserves a 3 year contract, the way hull are going we will be giving everyone 2/3 year deals. i think a lot of the squad need to prove themselves.

manu and whiting have proved their worth so far-unsure about the rest of the ooc players

the combination between him and Briscoe and Manu is starting to produce tries get Willie signed up and that is a very strong left side attack to build a side around. but its the right hand side which need sorting

Dowes - If there's no one else coming through/available I'd keep (just)

Everyone agrees the current squad is nowhere near good enough but you want us to re-sign most of them anyway.

I don't think the majority of the squad is "no-where near good enough" I feel it's unbalanced.
If Dowes stays then we wouldn't need another prop, I agree we need backs, whether we need two wingers depends on Reece's development.

It easy to see where we need strenghing but we also need to bring in good cover.

It's ok saying we need a half back but we can't afford to have a big name player come in.

Alot depends where agar sees players like briscoe and whiting playing.

If he sees briscoe as a winger and whiting as a centre then that's the backs sorted (if calderwood stays or we bring in a replacement).

If he wants

And whiting to the back row then we would have to lose some members of the pack.

Good news - always like Yeaman and with him being homegrown and the deal likely to have been discounted a bit for the impact of a testimonial, this was probably a no-brainer. Plus, he's the calendar king of the squad IMO.
