What do they know about talent ? they didn't rate Sneyd and shipped him out to us on loan. Smith is a massive signing for you and if there ever was a chance of you finishing in the bottom two its now gone completely.

There was a bit of light-hearted sledging that he seemed to take in good spirits; he obviously didn't take it to heart, or he wouldn't be coming back!

I'm ambivalent about this news, but if he does for us what he did during our miracle run, I'll be a happy man.

I'm pleased that he's coming back, there are very few half backs who could work successfully with Chase, so I'm not massively concerned about his form at Salford.

We all know what he can do when he's in the driver's seat, if he can start putting the likes of Sammut, Godinet or Moore gaps with his linebusting bullet passes then we will definitely score points.

Might even be tempted to put Sykes at SO again, and spell McShane/Godinet at hooker to keep the defensive side of things a bit fresher. Those 2 have already played in the halves together and given our predicament, we may not have the luxury of gelling time.

Another bit of good news following on last weeks (remembers to let go). Just need Bradfud's points loss to stick and a victory v London and then I might crack a smile.

Cant say im too excited about Smith being back, if i remember rightly during his last stint here if Sykes wasn't on the pitch smith was invisible, will be interesting to see how he performs this time around.

I don't mind Smith being back but can Webster please whip the pack into shape and get some enthusiasm in the forwards going forwards

Not a fan of his at all, that said if Webster can get him to be consistent then that will do for now. Never thought he was brilliant at any stage but he can have the odd good game or the odd flash of class. It might turn out to be a great signing but time will tell - I would prefer Sammut and Godinet in the halves personally. If they would have been given a decent chance and a consistent run in the team I reckon we would be in a better spot now.

Smith will give us direction which nobody has given us this season, as the one man barge rugby shows. We will finish 10th and recruit well for next season

I hope Tim will fit in. Last time around for every good game he had he also had one well below average. Having said that he can dictate play and move the pack around the field. Looking forward that should be enough, job done.

To be honest, if Tim is gonna make a good impact then we need the pack to lay the foundations and get the other defence on the back foot.

Kinda glad it's London we are playing, I know it's a big game but we should be beating them convincingly and hopefully any awkwardness won't be punished quite as severely as if we were playing a top side.

Hopefully all the focus on Smith will give our other players a little bit more space to make something happen.

Put Kirmond in for a try with a perfect little pass and played well over all but the downpour slowed his involvement as no one could catch the ball.
Proved he was worth bringing back imho

Not a huge Timmy fan but the conditions were not conducive to his style of play - so hard to say on that showing, but went ok for mine.

Anybody else think he looked like he's shed a few pounds, which should help?

Hi pass for Kirmo was something that nobody else has been able to do for us all season. He put Owen away with a great long ball but due to the conditions Owen couldn't hold on.

I thought his long kicking game in the 2nd half was fantastic, he pinned their full back right back several times and once we could tell he was struggel;ing put several bombs his way.

We also had what can only be described as something resembling a kicking game for the first time in a long time.
It wasn't perfect, but im certain it was there.
