I fell on my a£se today for no extra cost

I've got a season ticket and I dont know if i want to go next week, thinking about moving away from wakey due to possibly a new job. Was thinking last year, I couldnt do it as id miss rugby too much BUT this years performances at home have made me realise I could easily go away and just keep my eye on the scores now and then, seriously depressing at the moment, the club want to attract new fans they need to keep the fans they have at the moment, this is worse than the relegation years... as the players tried they knew it meant somet and they gave it a go thought at times they werent good enough, i was ok with that as i knew there potential

Now they could do so much better / have done better looks like they dont give a toss and im coming to realise perhaps i dont give a toss either.. ruining too many of my weeks

That's exactly what I thought today. I've wasted many Sundays over the last 21 years. I won't be going next week, i'm going to spend it with my wife and baby girl instead. I'm not even sure i'll bother going to another game this season.

My thoughts exactly - a total shower of ; the club, players and coach gave up on this season months ago, so why should I bother?

I was taking 6-8 of my extended family to the Hull FC game next week (the wife is from Hull, so it was intended as a family get-together with a bit of fun rivalry) but I've already cancelled it - we'll do something else that is actually fun.

Lets all quit and walk away like true fans, thats a sure fire way of making things better, it will help no end and i'm sure we'll be a better club for it

Someone on here made me think differently when they said the Wildcats are in the entertainment industry, I had never looked at it like that before and to be honest, at the moment i'm not being entertained! This 'true fan' has had enough until things change, and i'm not on my own.

Would you keep going back to a scabby theatre to watch a poorly directed, acted and scripted show? Just because you went there years ago and had a good time?

Voting with my feet is better than just coming on here and having a moan week in week out, moaning doesn't do anything, low crowd numbers may suddenly make them think.

You are correct Al, however - as a season ticket holder I will still be turning up (to home games anyway) week in and week out, but I doubt I would be paying 20 quid to watch a team that looks half hearted, to stand in an old well worn stadium drinking warm beer from the bottle bar.
It simply is not good value for money.

A Saturday night game, on Sky, with the team in such poor form (how many times are we going to get 40+ put on us at home?) is not enticing at all. Thank crunchie Hull will bring a few as it will be a very poor attendance.

The club really need to market this game exceptionally well if we arent to get a 4k attendance (if we are lucky!) Over to you marketing team, work your magic!

BigAl super fan, who do anything for the club berates other fans who (if they weren't commited fans wouldnt be on here listening to tools) for expressing unhappiness at the clubs present position, results and acts of marketing etc.... lets just believe everythings perfect and carry on because ted et al cant take an ear bashing.

No its far from perfect but i prefer to be active in trying to make things better and of course i have to pay the price for that on here.

You may well have nothing to come back to, thats just the way i see it, imo we are walking on a knife edge.

I take your point and feel the same way in may respects but i'm staying untill the end.

The club needs to be making the Top 8 in order to reinforce it's position within SL and give us some status and creditability.

Losing players, fans and slipping down the league table season after season doesn't help our cause 1 little bit.

What's happening at the minute may result in having nothing to come back too so do we all keep stum because it is beneath them

or do we convey to our ceo / general manager / coach that this is not acceptable things may then change and momentum can be built towards end of season which creates optimism which may entice them to buy season tickets. Or do we continue to flop go out on a whimper expect paying public to blindly shell out cash to watch a under performing team.

So you keep stum thats your perogative, I and the others will continue to express our unhappiness in the knowledge that the club reads this board and therefore may then take some appropriate action, I don't know exactly what that is but I don't get paid to run the club and am therefore not responsible for it.

To be fair, it's only this year, and the top 8 is still very achievable in a mathematical sense. This July feels a bit like JUly 2006, when it was dire on the pitch and feelings of doom and gloom off it. Things turned around though, and it's not over until it's over.

The disappointing thing is that a win feels more like a blip in a slump rather than the rise of a new peak after the trough. It's not the losses for me, it's the lack of fight that I can't be doing with. So we lost to Hull KR. Going into it, the game was always a 50-50 call, and if we had lost the game after a good fight, I wouldn't have minded. It's the backbone we need to get back, the fight, and I'm not sure where the answer is.

For me, Obst and BJ at 7 and 6, with Rinaldi and Latu at 9. Obst gives everything a bit of zip. Cooke doesn't, I'm afraid.

Thats fair enough it would be no fun if we all agreed on everything, we all want the same thing at the end of the day, we just see different ways of achieving it.

Maybe i just hide my feelings or maybe i'm just a soft lad.

Al out of interest how bad would it have to get to make you stay at home?

While ever the players make the effort i will be there, i like most would prefer to watch an exciting winning side and to be entertained or at least a team that make the effort to play that way. Now a few players seem a touch un bothered at the moment and thats worrying to say the least, add to that JK seems to be struggling to get his act together.
But i will continue to support the Red White and Blue shirt and the players that wear it (well most anyway)


How did it come to this, fans who have stuck with them through thick and thin are walking away from the club and who can blame them really, after all money and time are not being rewarded. such a shame.

I will continue to go but it will not be the most important thing in my life.

In the past I have missed family & friends events to go to the games but I will now reassess that and see which I consider to be the most important at the time. Wakey will not always be the ones to come out on top in that decision any more.

The club already have my money as a Season Ticket holder but they will not necessarily get my time as well now, unless there is a big change in attitude over the next couple of weeks.

Can't go on Saturday anyway but will definitely go to Cas the week after, but I will be hoping to see some massive improvements in effort by then.
