Koukash talks like a person who is new to the game and can see what a great product he has bought into.
He talks like he does about the sponsorship deals because he is a businessman and knows how to negotiate at good deal to the max.
Unfortunately when the people in charge of our game don't value it as highly or are not confident enough to sell it as a first rate product, you end up with what happened last year with Stobbart.
So when a company comes along and dangles some money in front of the RFL to sponsor the league, they snap their hand off, which in turn devalues the league.
Same with the Sky deal, it's lazy negotiating but may have been brought on by a few clubs being financially unstable and requesting an advance on existing Sky money.
I just hope the Dr doesn't get disillusioned if his team he has put together doesn't get the backing he expects from the public of Salford.
He needs to talk to a few of his mates to invest in RL clubs and point out that they can buy a club and a team for the same money it would cost for a mediocre footballer!!

love his passion and ambition, wish we had him at the Bulls! Would be great to see Salford do well for those fans who watched them through thin and thinner. Think you might be lucky getting them first game before they gel. For what it's worth I think the RL are the most inept ruling body in sport, not competent enough to keep a conspiracy going against you for four weeks never mind four years. Hope your ground gets sorted and your season goes ok. Look forward to seeing you all in a fortnight!

Fair sentiments although, with all of the goings on within our sport over the last 10 years or so, more and more people are watching the game in spite of the governance of The RFL and not because of it
They are incapable of working to a plan to grow the game for the long term good of the game and it's participants, which is the only thing that they should be concerned with.

He makes I point I've often thought as an issue in that Wood earns more per annum than most players do. In which other sport would that occur.

I mujst say some of the thiongs he's said since his arrival in the sport have been a little bit ludacris but this is spot on IMO
