Anyone bought one of these? Sounds bargain at £35 with profits to charity. Not sure what size to order as I have a 3xl shirt from a few years back that hardly fits yet this year's shirt is XL and is plenty be enough?

Very nice, would be interested to know if there was some way to get a badge on?

There is a place in white rose that could do the badge and they arent expensive

I'm sure they could easily do something similar. They've been told many times there is a market for it. I'd rather buy the above for £35 than the plastic crap that passes for a replica shirt these days for £45.

Totally agree. Although I buy a shirt every year to support the club the quality goes down each year. I have them all ll lined up on a rail in order. Yes I know it's sad! and the difference in quality is striking.

It will be quite interesting if this company supplies you with a shirt with the clubs name on it because they have been told quite categorically they cannot market stuff using the clubs name.
Lest we forget they were quite happy to renege on a deal with Chris and actually registered a CCJ against the club and were also would have been willing to put the club into liquidation. A CCJ that we are still paying off!!

Are there any plans for the club to produce a retro shirt made of cotton?

There are some cotton long sleeved shirts in the new range but unfortunately they won't be here until January.

Thanks for the info on the company's attitude towards WTRLFC, I'll give them a swerve and spend my hard earned in the club shop. Hope the Club takes note of the positive interest in this kind of retro gear, it is useful marketing info.

It is noted. I'm not saying the macron stuff will be brilliant but it's a first stab. It's very difficult to take risks with stuff from other companies when you have to spend a minimum of 107000 with macron each year and turn it into profit

So you pay Macron £107,000 minimum this year, at £45 per shirt, you have to sell 2,400 shirts to make a profit? How many did you sell last year?

That's alot of shirts. May make a profit due to all the Macron range we sell.

That includes all retail as well. We have to buy a minimum of 2500 shirts. Last year we sold around 1800?

1800 seems like a good number of shirts to have shifted, certainly more than I would have guessed at, Well done the club.

The original deal done by the previous regime was a real corker wasn't it, I bet the Macron rep got a promotion after ringing the bell on that one.

What will be done with the excess stock from last year? Have you considered a fire sale, like a couple of years back - happened in the belle vue car park and shirts were being sold off at a heavily discounted price.

Im sure some would argue that it may detract people from buying this years stock which I guess is a fair point., but this would at least ensure stock that the club have paid for is not sat gathering dust and cobwebs

Depends on the price i guess. If they are sold off at, say, a fiver then i doubt it would put anybody off buying a new shirt if thats their plan, they would probably just get the old one as an extra. If its much more than that then they probably just wouldn't bother with the old one. Anybody who comes down only for the five pound sell off probably has no intention of getting a £45 shirt anyway. Although all of a sudden you have them on site with money in their pockets and xmas coming up and a bit of hard sell...

I pretty much had that argument with myself when I posted.

However, if the people buying the discounted shirts would have no intention of buying the full price ones, then getting say £10 off them for two of last seasons shirt is better than getting nothing off them at all - If you get what Im saying.

As I have previously stated the point would only be to squeeze the last penny's out of the previous years stock. £500 from selling discounted shirts is better than them sitting in a stock room.
