Could be a big mistake taking him off though, he was doing a good job of helping Bayern keep the pressure on in attack, if they try and sit back they are inviting trouble.

I'd say thats highly unusual as all you ever do on here is put Utd down. Surely Barca would hit 5 against them? |

Think Fergie has only himself to blame if Utd go out. Once he's taken Rooney off you have to question the decision to not put Berbatov on. Knowing a Bayern goal would have Utd going out it seems odd to me to go without a recognised striker. Just said to Bayern come and have a go

Who'd have thought Liverpool would be in Europe longer than United?
Good effort by United but for me it was Evra's dither and dawdle in Munich that decided it.
Watched the game on Catalan tv and one of the commentators was explaining why thousands of fans were wearing green and gold scarves. He bought one outside the ground but was told to remove it as soon as he entered the media area inside OT.

Like i said above i think Fergie has to take a look at himself. Yes the Rafael red has hurt Utd but he's clearly played an unfit Rooney and then to not replace him with a striker astonished me. |
