I’ve made the point a few times-if you’re replacing players who were not playing with ones who will, you’re stronger if only by default. In my mind we’ve lost Hastings and not a great deal more. We’ve signed 4 players and should have French and Field back from injury, making it 6 players to add to what’s left from last season.

Is the squad perfect? No, I don’t think it is. I’d like a halfback and another prop personally (and a centre if Hardaker goes) but I can’t for the life of me see that we’re weaker in general (a halfback aside).

I honestly cannot see Zak going this year. I think it’s all white noise personally and he’ll be off next year instead.

I’d be intrigued to see Field in the halves. We may all be wanting a new half but we’ve got one in the squad now. One thing I am certain of is that he isn’t a FB.

It absolutely would be but that’s the same at any club. I give Saints praise for their lack of injuries these past few seasons. It can’t just be a coincidence that they hardly get a cold between them but take 7 or 8 players out of their first 17 on a regular basis and they wouldn’t be in a great spot either, so it isn’t exclusive to Wigan.

Fingers crossed we start 2022 in a better spot injury wise and this time we get a bit more luck.

should the players (Of all sports, of all colours , of all nations) stop doing it because it won't work? (Even though it certainly has put it front & centre across the world so in some ways it has, because although the gesture may not in itself solve everything, it wil stay as a reminder in public consciousness that Racism & Bigotry of many varieties still exist)

Have we got a Multi cultural country so everything is ok (Despite it blatantly being Not ok)

Well I did not see that one coming. Genuinely left field decision. Does this mean that Tommy or French are not playing on?

I think if French, Field & Hardaker all turn out in 2022 at full fitness then we 'should' look a hell of a lot better than where we were in 2021.
