| Quote all in all I thought he was decent. It's not him making high tackles.'"
No he doesn't make the high tackles that is the players but he is paid to do a job and ensure a safe game but continually allowing high tackles he is not doing his job. |Use the sin bin more and red card particularly bad shots the message would soon get across to the players that it will not be tolerated. It is human nature we all do what we get away with.

| Thing is it was your opinion that it merited, yellow or red card, obviously it was the opinion of the 3 officials on the pitch that it didn't. However the match officials perfirnance will be reviewed and if after review it was seen that they did not do there job correctly or they should have acted differently then the process they go through will highlight it. Every game is videoed and reviewed.
I find it interesting again though that someone else had the opinion that he was not as bad as suggested

| Broncos were abysmal. Worst I've seen them play at TFSC. As someone else has said but for a poor option by a Hornets player with about 12 mins left, we would have lost.
I don't think Sammut changed the game as it happens. It seemed fairly obvious to me that a part-time team that put a massive amount of effort into warming up just ran out of fuel at 65 mins.
What was the crowd, anyone? 400ish?

| Making a pretty big thing about them being a part time team, the reality is they are a part time team that have been pretty good for the first 7 games of the season. The fact they are part time and not able to maintain the pace yep probably won if for us but is that not the whole point of us being full time?
From what I have seen so far apart from the KR game us we certainly have not managed to get out of second gear yet! We are going to have to improve.
Toulouse at easter will be interesting.

| To answer Micky yes I was there.
I thought one head shot was rather nasty but I've seen much worse than most of them, including by London players - Scott Moore springs to mind plus one away game at Wakefield when Nigel Roy et al rather lost the plot. I thought penalty sufficient was right most times. I do think the option of a sin binning for persistent team misconduct must have been close.
I've been watching RL for twenty plus years and at professional level can only recall two red cards for head shots.
Just to add I'd guesstimate the crowd at 350 - 400 with about 10% being Rochdale fans.

| Got a video of one at magic weekend if you want, James child, no argument straight red.
Am not trying to suggest it's acceptable and yep they should be acted on when appropriate, it is one of those things that fans tend to only see when they are on receiving end though and not the ones the team they support do!
Like I say I was not there so can't comment, I just find it interesting that there are 2 views on the Refs actions.

| To be clear I would like to see head shots cracked down on. The studies on the impact of concussion in sport makes it a must be done tbh.
It needs to be done as a coordinated crack down with agreed standards not by one referee waving lots of red cards around when others referee to a different tolerance.
I think the referee on Sunday pretty much called as he should have done under current interpretations. I wouldn't argue if interpretations were hardened and more of the challenges on Sunday moved from the penalty sufficient category to the penalty plus (red or yellow) card category.

| Could be a good idea, but last thing we want to do is end up like rugby yawnion, quite rightly they have cracked down but the way they interpreted it has made it nearly unworkable. The "game" RFL has asked the refs to clamp down on moving off the mark at the ptb, I think they have been extremely pedantic at time, maybe the emphasis should be shifted but let's not forget it would involve all players and broncos are not whiter than white here so as long as there is no complaining when we are on the receiving end of sanctions, funny how no one on here called for London player to be sin binned after an opposition player went off the field injured after an alleged tip and spear tackle!

I dont remember seeing this but if it is right then yes he should have been sin binned all I am asking for is equal treatment and protection for players from all fields.

| Are upu suggesting that we get different treatment by officialsthan other teams? That's utter rubbish. What was the penalty count on Sunday? If I read right it was massively in our favour, that suggests we were getting penalties when we deserved them. A theme so far on our season has been us giving away too many penalties, yes I do keep a count of penalties during the games and what for! Trust me we put in our fair share of high shots, funny though I have very seldom seen anyone worrying about opposition player safety! So actually in general it is pretty equal.

| Read what I said I want equal treatment for all players from all clubs I did not say London were any different to anyone else, I did not indicate I wanted more for London or we were treated differently. Read what I write not what you want to see that is what causes the problems.

| The point i am making is there us equal treatment for all players! The officials penalise high shots, they use further sanctions for those that need it. Where is the evidence there us no equal treatment? You saw one thing on Sunday, another poster saw it differently obviously the match officials did not see anything that needed anything more than penalties.

| Itsmeagain, by saying you what equal treatment and protection for all players, you must be suggesting that as you see it at the moment there is not equal treatment! Hence the confusion. So where do you think there is not equal treatment? If the officials ping both teams for the same offence is equal. The fact one team might be commuting that offence more does not make it unequal, it means the laws of the game are being applied. What we see on the terraces as bad contact with the head can be seen totally different from 15 Mtrs away and what we see as a yellow card offence from 50/60/70 Mtrs away is actually pretty innocuous when much closer.
Just trying to get where you are saying there is unequal treatment?

| The trouble is that refs support refs - I know too well as I come to games with a ref and lo and behold the ref is never wrong. Well thats blx. Get the video of the Hornets game and pick it apart from a refs perspective both for and against Broncos. From the moment he warmed up with the Hornets the wrong tone was set. When you've reviewed the video. come back and I would love to read your feedback.

| Have never suggested refs don't get it wrong, every human gets things wrong. Refs dont necessarily support refs but maybe refs understand why decisions are made. If your mate is saying the ref never gets it wrong then that is wrong.
Am pretty sure thd refs team have picked thd game apart like they do every game

| Was it 2 or 3 sin bins?. I can't remember. I think there was one from each team after a dust up at the right hand end of the field looking from the clubhouse and towards the end of the game did a Hornets player get 10??
Memories gone!

Three yellows in total... 2 for the Hornets & 1 for us. Elliot Kear and Gary Middlehurst for fighting about a late hit on a Broncos player in the first half, then Jo Taira for another head-high tackle in the second.

| Rugby man, not sure if you noticed the whole discussion on this thread, one of the things was the use or lack of use of sin bin for high tackles. I was not at the game and could not find a match report but saw a yellow on one of tgd videos. So was merely trying to find out how many cards and what for! Anything wrong with that? So it's of interest to someone, and I care!
