| I am planning to pay at the gate when I go to the Many fixture. Is this wise?
Would anyone who is 'in the know' got any idea how ticket sales are going?

Ordinarily I'd say you'd be fine, but with the new arrangements this season I'm not sure.
Off the top of my head I can't remember if they're opening more than just the east stand for this fixture. They probably are and you should be ok, but ring the club to check.

| I asked the club this question yesterday as I am hoping to bring a group of newcomers, numbers yet unknown. The reply suggested that £15 tickets would be available on the gate, all others can be bought from the ticket office on the day. BUT this might change depending on what bulk of tickets are still remaining.

| You should be fine on the day.
I don't know if the Lexux will be open, but if the East is Fullish on pre-paid tickets, then I EXPECT the lexus to be opened, as any casual/first-timer who comes for this game will not appreciate the "behind the sticks" view that some more weathered RL enjoy.

| We've already got our tickets in the Lexus stand (putting off slumming it with the dregs in the East stand for as long as possible!).
Anyone else sitting in the Lexus (or the LV= or whatever it's called now)?

| Met an Ozzie girl in the office for an interview today. For once she turned out to be an NRL fan! So I gave her a plug for the Manly game so hopefully her and fiancee will be there now!

| Lets hope we have a bigger then normal crowd, it can only help if th RFL and Quins wish to make this a yearly event pre-WCC.
But my worry was on the Quins main website at the beginging of the week they were still looking for a match day sponsor.
Without sounding funny but cant help feel if the Clubs had made this a Charity game, say for Help the Heroes or even the Cancer Charity that QuinsRU played their game for, we might have seen more interest from the Media.

| Alanw - I had the same thoughts as you re a charity connection.
I was actually thinking if we could help those poor people in Aus who have been affected by the terrible bush fires.
Then again, I know we're not a rich club and we probably need every penny that we can get.

Thats what I thought, sadly. The bush-fire fund idea would have been a good one too and I reckon would have put a few hundred on the gate. Maybe a contribution could be arranged? Probably too late to publicise it now though

| They have just said on the Phil Parry show that Radio London are taking his show down to the Stoop for this game, and i think but not 100% sure they said they will be boardcasting it too.
Phil Parry said tickets sales were going well and he was looking forward to his first ever trip to the Stoop to watch rugby league.
As for the idea about donating to the bush fire appeal, thats a great idea if club was up for that of course.
Can understand about the club not being a rich club and needing every penny But what if they said their were going to give a pound or even 50p off every ticket sale made to that appeal, then im sure if they told the Media you would get some sort coverage. Maybe the sun would back it they like to get behind causes.
They could be Match Day sponsors.

| Good Double Page Spread in TNT today covering Manly being over here, with a 20% discounted ticket offer.
Also, there is the Sonny Fai fundraiser in the Walkabout on Thursday night with players from both teams present and loads of stuff to win, so another opportunity to get more people to the game on Sunday.
10,000 would be great, but realistically, I can see us getting 6,000...

I would be well pleased with 6,000 for a non SL game. Should be a good atmosphere and will sharpen the boys up for Wigan.
Lets hope its a good game and means a few more return

| Should have got hold of a copy of the TNT magazine as I have just ordered my ticket and been charged £23 . However, it is my season ticket seat bang on the halfway line. Will be bringing 4 others hopefully, 3 of whom are new to the Stoop, let's hope they want to come again.

| Some good work being done here in getting people along. Well done folks. We'll get some decent crowds this season if we can keep this up. Hope the team does its part, and can keep up the momentum.
