You cannot say we got the Brett Hodgson situation wrong. He has only done his first year at Warrington. It remains to be seen wether he can be as effective next year.

Griffin is very quick to praise the coaching staff which sort of tells you the issues were none rugby related.

^ Not so much any benefit of BH to his new club stellz,more that we knew what we had,and how important he was to us in terms of our attack,mainly in terms of assists when he joined the line.

Guess it must be true then,GH walked out on Sheff got the easiest of numbers with the bandwagoners and left anyone else to pick up the pieces.Now they regard him as a hero but I for one have my own opinion of him in terms of his contribution to the great game that is Rugby League Football.

OK here's an idea: go away, set up your own expansion club, fund it with your life savings, play for it, coach it, run it, and build it into a success over the course of more than a decade, then sell it to a group who promise to invest in it.

Then you'll be in a position to judge the only person alive who has single-handedly created a Rugby League club which has won the challenge cup.

Well it's certainly not the reason Thewlis gave in his examiner comments!!!

Two halves to griffins season - a bit like the whole team.
First half dominant ESP in defence. Not many offloads but strong running.
Then tatoogate and mentally second half of the season it was obvious to all he had already moved to Leeds. Think he did well to get a three deal at his position - and not the easiest player to manage either.
Think he'll be solid for Leeds for first year, but don't think us offering him a 3 year makes commercial sense tbh.
