Genuinely can't believe we are selling so poorly, yes we might sell a few more tomorrow whilst people aren't working and are able to get there. But 900 is quite bad tbh, thought our support would of shown Sheffields up. Such a shame cos the lads have done brilliant this year, and i for one was looking forward to the south stand being packed to the rafters. Something needs to be done, How on earth are we lacking in support? We do brilliant in final, it will be a class day out!

Don't underestimate the effect of the terracing - for Blackpool, two of us were first in the queue and bought nigh on 50 tickets to make sure we were all sat together. For next week, I've only bought three tickets and let the others sort themselves out while we know we won't have an issue watching the game as a group.

I would imagine there are some individual fans going to Halifax which would have been families if it was Blackpool.

I think there are two things that haven't been promoted enough:

1) Tickets can be bought over the phone and delivered. With the ticket office and market stall only open during working hours, those with jobs are going to find it tough to buy their tickets without this knowledge.

2) The deadline! I assumed tickets would be on sale until at least Thursday. Many others probably think the same. As Matt pointed out, with the main section for Leigh fans being terraced, there's no urgency in getting blocks of tickets for friends and family.


I hope that most will take their opportunity to buy tickets this weekend, but there's a chance many won't - and even if these fans do attend the final, the club will have missed out on the ticket commission.

We may get an extension till Wed/Thur from the RFL as the "Believe in Leigh" press call is Tuesday but this is TBC so people need to hurry up.

Yes, but people need to know that they need to hurry up! I really don't think that people realise this, and I don't recall it being mentioned anywhere but here.

Talking to someone this morning who haven't bought tickets yet but are going and I bet they don't know of the deadline .Hope word gets around ,900 is not good but then its not Blackpool and I'm afraid Halifax doesn't quite have the same ring to it .

I've put a press update through for the morning and we may get an extension till Thursday/ Friday but if anyone is reading this get buying!!!

Was in Leigh tonight and spoke to a few lads who are definately going but have not bought tickets yet and had no idea they needed to buy before Tuesday. Well they do know now.

The rearranged fax game is now huge

I know i'm fascinated and i'm mithering a lot, but i'm sure every other fan wants to know how many we're taking to the final, it's not just me who's eager to know.

We want to know because it is an important benchmark as to where the club is from a fan base perspective. If you cannot even get decent support for a final then things really do not look rosy. Added to that, the more tickets we sell, the more money we earn so there is an immediate financial interest.

Be patient we`ll find out on saturday.

To be fair mapleyther a day out in blackpool v day out in halifax. I know to some it won't make any difference as they go from on hostelry to another they won't notice where they are.....will you matt?icon_smile.gificon_smile.gif
