What areas do people think we need to improve on next season? I don't mean player's etc. Thinking more along the lines of structure and game play.

i think we need more close games.... so when we go 18 points up think were should let teams back into the game...and then steal a win near the end.

Be able to play more of a power game when the expansive game is working against us.

We took wigan apart doing this, and if we can get used to playing 'plan b' then that will stand us in better stead in games like the leeds semi imo

That comes from planning your lineup to match. What is the point of smashing Wakefield by 80 at home with a full strength 17 in April for example? Judge the opposition and rotate the young players that have a chance of making it into the team, but retaining the core lineup. Probably win by a lot less, maybe even cost you some games, but the long term will be better.

That's actually bob-on, Sad One. Be careful, folk will start taking you seriously on here if you're not careful...

That will never happen. He'll always be a complete Gonad.

This year we had the best defence and attack in the league, topped the table, won our first play off game to nil, and were leading at half time in the Final Eliminator.

There's not much I can suggest to improve other than, "don't bottle it at the final hurdle".

I think you're mixing us up with the Saints. Saints beat Wakefield at home by 50 points in April with a close to full strength (with a couple of injuries) and were ahead of us in the league. In April we lost to Catalans and Hull at home and Huddersfield away and we were down to 4th/5th in the league.

Mind you Saints always do this but then come the Grand Final they are shattered and all their work comes to nothing.

What Saints need to learn is that its about peaking in October at Old Trafford.

We need an interchange hooker of high quality. That's a definite. And I'd like to see a contrasting player to Monas; someone really quick who can split open a defence and field (like Burrow can and Cunningham was a magician at!).

A personal preference would be a bigger more powerful runner off our own line at full back. Riley - even though he's small - does this better than Hodgson, although Hodgson is much more dangerous with ball in hand as a creator at the other end. And I do like Hodgson, it's just something I like from a FB. But this isn't a big thing where we really need to improve.

We need Paul Wood fit all season. When he doesn't play there's a huge difference in the pack. Quite honestly Woody is the most underrated player in Super League. He's f*ck*ng top class!

We need to get Ben Harrison doing extra laps of Padgate Campus or extra time on the treadmill. He's looked a bit fat this season and he's gone from an England international to being overlooked for Mike Cooper in our biggest game of the season. He needs to be putting pressure on Solomona (even though I like him in a cult kind of way) because he offers less and less all the time. Come on Ben, what's going on?!

Other than that, that's about it. One thing we really needed as a group and a club was play-off experience; we've gained a bit of that now. It's all part of our improvement.

Too late that! No matter much money you throw at them areas they're still gonna look like Beirut.

As mentioned, it's hard to improve on this year. We could do worse in the league and still walk away with both major trophies. More big match experience is I guess what is required, and that will come over the next few years.

TBH, I don't think we'll EVER see a fully fit Woody ALL SEASON...PITY, great player

Must haves
If we insist on spelling MonaghanM , we MUST have a quality back up...Higham is NOT the answer. Definately living on past glories

A loose forward who is a ball player

RUTHLESSNESS at home...defeats @ home to Hull, Cats and a Leeds team we'd previously hammered twice, is unacceptable, if we want to be considered SERIOUS contenders for the GF.

I'm in a bit of agreement re Harrison, he seems to be 'stalling' again
