Thought one of the positives from tonight was Chris Riley.

IMO, when everyone is fully fit he should play in place of Kevin Penny (shambolic again tonight as usual).

Reily impresses me every single game. He never stops trying, hits the line and tackles well above his weight. The more and more we play him the better!

You need to keep him at fullback. He's an average winger but he looks a superb prospect at fullback, didn't put a foot wrong defensively and looked constantly threatening going forward too.

yeah riley was good tonight i thought still probably got a long way to go but he would have carved 7 out of the 13 other teams tonight playing like he did

keep him at fullback he's a prospect for the future bit of faith now and we could have england's number 1 in a few years time

and when i say long way to go i mean he can get better and better

First time I saw riley I really wasn't impressed. Now he's one of the best wingers in the country. Certainly a future international.

Looked class tonight

Not on the wing he ain't.

He's fine on the wing. He doesn't have much competition internationally.

Probably a better fullback going off tonight, but never done anything wrong on the wing.

Riley looked comfortable tonight in the main, he can hold his head high. He ran the ball backwith vigour and in the first half especially ran some very good lines, well timed runs too, add to this a superb offload for Rauhihis try. The odd error here & there, but he left KR in credit.

I thought he was our best player.

One thing that I did find strange tonight, was that I thought Hicks was actually very poor at 2. Hopefully it is due to a lack of game-time on the wing, but a couple of times, I'd have rather he took on the young Saints winger than step inside like he did...

The kid is a class act! He impresses me the more i see him play,think he is better playing at full back than on the wing as it allows him to run the middle more.

Hope you have him tied up long term because the sharks will be circling!

Riley was our most improved player last season and last night showed he will only get better. He had a very good game and can hopefully make the full back position his own.

I liked the way he was hanging round the middle, backing the likes of Rauhihi up.

Wellens has never had great pace, but his positioning and the way he supported players was excellent, and none of our fb's have done that for years.

Just before Rah's try, he took an offload from Rah from this support play. A fe moments later he returned the favour for his try.

Anyone else notice the amount of talking he did? Seems to have been given alot of responsibility by Lowes and is lapping it up. I was very impressed.

Shows the value of having faith in young local prospects instead of shipping in overrated Aussies. I have always championed him as he seems to have been well coached and does the small things right.

He's competent on the wing, but he's not a threat. Fullback is his natural position and also his preferred position. Lowes said after the game that he has been banging on about having a chance at fullback since he joined the club, so I would suggest it's time to play him there. Reardon is finished and Bridge isn't a fullback.
