The Blues chances just keep getting better, this time it's Thurston who's out for the season after popping his shoulder against the Tigers. Cowboys might aswell not play another game this season because without him there nothing, there no threat to the top 8 anyway when he's fit but without him they could take the spoon from the Sharks or Knights.
Tim Moltzen is also out for the season with a knee injury. Terrible news really because both players are great to watch especially Thurston. With Scott Prince out aswell Cooper Cronk will probably get his first crack at Origin and play the test against NZ next month aswell.

| Shame for Thurston .....but it might give Cronk his chance after years waiting in the wings.
Alternatively, Melbourne have been playing Cam Smith at 7, could the Maroons and Kangaroos do the same ?

| The strange thing is, the Cowboys only looked decent after Thurston went off. We were steamrolling him. He will be having nightmares about Chris Heighington.
Moltzen's injury is bad for us as is Payten's. We have a couple of options for the 7 (Lazarus and Taumata) but Sheens will probably put Benji there and stick that hack Fitzhenry at 6. As for props, we're down to the bare bones without Galloway and Payten, I think Ellis might end up there for the time being.

Why would the Australia and QLD selectors put Cam Smith at halfback when Cronk is fit? Even if Cronk wasn't fit they've got loads of options, Pearce, Mullen, Kimmorley and more but Cronk will play. He's third choice behind Thurston then Prince and Prince will be back intime for Origin.

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

| So he'll be back for Origin and the test against NZ, how happy must Cooper Cronk be to hear this news
I think he'll win the Dally M again this year and a great player to watch so good news that he's only out a few weeks. Cowboys will lose the next 3 games though as Rovelli will be back in the side so get your money on the Knights this week.

| No rl fan wants to see players like Thurston out, coz they are the ones who get people excited. But the real threat is ru going after league stars.

Seriously....you have an illness. I understand that you hate union, but to call others names because they may watch both codes smacks a little of Fascism......in that it's your way or the highway.
As for multiple log-ins, I am sure the mods will tell you that I don't ever pull punches and I don't need aliases to hide behind.
As for you, my well educated and well travellled posting chum, keep on telling yourself that League is globally bigger then Union......although I have no doubt you would thrash me in a RL General Knowledge and History quiz, you have no grasp on reality and start you have started spouting soccer stats as a way to put down Union......so what does that tell you about the global standing of League?
You brand people trolls for pointing out where Union is successful and where League might need to go to achieve the same level of success.......rather than joining the debate and you are constantly ranting that "Union will die and league will rule the world".
I suggest you stick to Dungeons and Dradons or licking windscreens until you bring a decent point to the argument.
Just a thought.....and not one smilie in the post.
