he added nothing to Hull, and infact his 'defence' coaching made us even worse. In 2008 we coulden't score, but at least we weren't letting that many in...this season our defence became as weak as our attack.

Its bad enough being Welsh without adding to it by wishing Thorman on them

How can anybody consider Brian Noble and Jon Sharp a poor appointment by a club like Celtic?

In all reality who else is available of that calibre?

And dont tell me someone who has no experience or some Aussie who will jump as soon as a job he really wants apprears.

They need people experienced in the British League with a good chance of seeing the job through. Much more likely to see lads playing who dont need visas then if they appointed Bruce Diggadong from Alice Springs Wombats and all his mates!

Noble won't let Sharp have as much of an influence as Agar did.
Noble is a much better coach than Agar.
Celtic will improve dramatically under Noble.

so why not just hire Noble and get an assitant in then?

It'll be first team coach like Lowes is at Wire. Smith oversees everything but Lowes takes many of the training sessions while Smith does other things without having too much influence

It just seems a bit odd for Noble to move upstairs to Director of Rugby when his coaching career almost certainly isn't over. Presumably Noble was offered the coaching job and turned it down. It just has future conflict between Noble and Sharp written all over it for me as effectively they seem to have two head coaches.

Can't imagine for one minute that Sharp will have the final say over Noble.
Sharp will play a similar role to Lowes at Warrington as a previous poster said.

Heard mumblings a while ago that Celtic were going to try and coax Gavin Henson over to RL and play for them, anyone see any truth in this. If he did and they actually got him on the pitch it would certainly get some of the taffs through the gate along with the press...

Might be pie in the sky but CC should pull out all the stops to make it happen. They've now got a good, high profile coaching team (may be a case of too many cooks tho?) and if they could get a big name signing on the pitch it can only help to get the locals through the gate.

I know it's 20 years ago, put people in Llanelli used to come to Widnes to watch Jonathon Davies - Newport won't quite be as far!!

Noble did produce that story about wanting more RU players in SL a while back. I think there's a real possibility.

It would be a massive coup and maybe the kick start the crusaders would need to imprve the off the field side of the game. Biggest problem with henson is his fitness, think it was also muted he was contemplating retirement (being deregistered) due to the amount of injuries he had.

Maybe needs to stop charlotte bouncing on him so much and recouperate a bit..
