And as I said it was a common mistake vastpants makes, it is odd to give two opposing opinions the same validity, in this example it is absurd as only one could possibly be correct.

Do I give my opinion more validity than his? Certainly, otherwise it wouldn’t be my opinion would it, you wouldn’t hold an opinion you knew or thought to be incorrect would you? It is my opinion that his opinion is idiotic (frankly I would be mildly surprised if that is actually his opinion) because I believe him to be an idiot. I believe my opinion to be correct, this is why I hold it, if I didn’t believe it to be correct it wouldn’t be my opinion

Although giving us 2 valuable league points it meant no more and no less than the 2 other occasions that we beat you last season.

I think we finished in a fair position last season. Over the course of the season the sides who finished above us were better than us and the teams who finished below us were not as good.

My initial post was in reply to an over/under achieving post if you read back.

My point is that one win can make a big difference between a successful league campaign and not, upto 4 places in the league for example.
