Great to see the game promoting itself. I'm not sure I've ever seen the RFL promote on ITV before?

Wakefield and Wigan have, not sure about the RFL itself though.

Hopefully it'll be nationwide rather than regional.

Why are they doing ITV, have they got a highlights agreement with them?

They have fallen into the same trap as Sky and the beeb have done; not showing the expansive backline plays and ball skills that our sport offers, something that sets us apart from the other code and would get someone going, yeah that's worth going out of my way to see. Any progress the rfl make promoting our game has to be applauded. There is a huge billboard at the bottom of our street promoting the 4 nations, something I can't recall seeing before either.

I really think that every club should be out there promoting these types of showpiece games to their towns, we need to see a resurgance of interest in our game, we have got to start fighting back at the footy who have monopolised sport coverage for long enough.

Saw a couple of professional looking nice and big posters advertising the double header in Shepherds Bush tube station tonight

Feels like there's some momentum gathering here.

To be aired at 02:00 am on Sunday evening on ITV4.

I like the advert. It's short, sharp, to the point, fast, and makes the sport look exciting.

Get's the main point across, in a short amount of time.

You mean apart from the leaflets, adverts, emails and pricing offers throughout the season?

It's a good concise advert, just a small fault, my eyes were drawn to the action rather than the website and the games dates & locations don't exactly stand out.

That said this, along with billboards and the great posters which are on the London Underground at the moment, I'm really impressed the RFL are doing their all. It;s a shame it's not been done straight after the Grand Final but well done RFL.

Great ways to promote the game, sure some people will find a way to moan though!

contact the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Wayne rooney , joel barton who have been praising rugby leagueon twitter so im sure they wudnt mind putting a quick message out if possible . they each have millions of followers.

Not knocking it at all......but from 20-22 seconds or so....it does go very camp

Not sure why, but it feels like a 10 second ad, blink and you would miss it.
Gone for the dramatic music and approach.
I'm ambivalent about it.
Then again the Robots that promote Super League do not really work for me either, maybe I am not the target market.

what we could have done is show a 5sec clip of burgess smashing moi moi from a few years ago then have a voice over saying "and he did'nt get sent off!!...come watch real men play rugby during the 4nations" blah blah blah

He should have been sent off, it was a cheap shot to the face and had nothing to do with arm travelling up.
Burgess is a cheap shot merchant that goes high all the time.

He has spent half of his time in the NRL on the sidelines injured.
Fragile is a word that comes to mind.
