| Thought it looked really smart on yesterday (Whitehead was wearing it when I got there).
Like the slimming lines on it especially.
Noticed we've got a new shirt sponsor: Greenwoods. Judging by the comments from some of the lads on here the 200 quid gift voucher you can win in the raffle will come in handy for some of 'em. Think of all the high waisted Farah slacks you can buy with that!

| For once I won't get on my hight horse about the new shirt and will refrain from getting all hot under the collar.
My calm take on the new effort is that it is yet another monstrosity from A-level design students that Kooga have holed up in their office churning out jokes instead of kits for Rugby League clubs too stupid to sign a deal with a half decent company.
Yes, I lied.

| It's alright, neither offensive or making me go.. wow I need to get myself one of those. I usually buy at least 1 of the shirts, but I'll hold on until I have seen the away effort. I also hope the quality is a little better than last year, there was a very obvious drop in quality when you compared 2010 shirt with 2011.
I doubt I'll buy both once again if it is the cheapy version of 2011. Still not a fan of that daft bit of faff under the neck, I'm hoping the away one has a similar neckline to the 2010 shirt. I'm not too worried about having a collar but the excess material under the chin is bloody irritating.

Don't tempt fate.
At least the colours on the home jersey are in the right order

| Technically speaking it must surely be entirely possible to have slightly distinct playing and replica shirts. That style collar is presumably to do with being grabbed as a player but on your average non athlete that style just looks daft. A replica version could have, for example, a real collar or a v-neck and not look as odd.

Jeez, how long have Wigan had their shirts on sale? It must be ages if they're wearing out already, unless they're wearing them for work down the pit!!

I guess they could produce fully badged sweatshirt versions as an option. If you're going to bring out a shirt as a replica though I think it should stay as, well a replica, just as the players wear. Maybe it would impact on prices if they brought out two versions, losing the economies of scale and all that? Maybe, it would sell more and increase profits? It's not as though they aren't going to bring out sweatshirts in lots of differing designs and styles anyway. There I go, decisive as usual.....

| No.
No no no no no.
Sorry. It looks like someone's taken a load of different swatched and concepts and bodged it all together in one shirt.
I'm not a hardcore traditionalist like some seem to be but with 4 colours available I'd expect something much better than this.

| From another vaguely related thread;
Quote ="dddooommm"I've been searching for the 1997 World Club Challenge kit we had as I loved that shirt. Anybody got one lying around they no longer want?'"
Here you go chief; (not my listing btw, I just happen to have the two pages open at the same time!)
[url=http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRADFORD-BULLS-VINTAGE-RUGBY-LEAGUE-SHIRT-1997-WORLD-CLUB-SERIES-42-44-CHEST-/200677498691?pt=UK_Rugby_Shirts&hash=item2eb94f9f431997 WCC shirt[/url
On the current shirt, better than last year (not hard) but still no good. I don't mind different and don't want traditional every year (I bought the purple/green/white northern away kit and the 1997 amber kit), but I'm not sure on this one, remove the black vertical lines and it probably looks ok - anyone handy with photoshop to see what it looks like without the black lines? I just hope it looks better when I see it for real.
Anyone know when the away kit is revealed btw?

I've been to Wigan. They all have to wear the replica shirt all the time, until the armpits rot. It's the law, like eating pies and Uncle Joe's Mint Balls. Even Latics fans wear them over their wendyball shirts so that they don't look conspicuous.

no worries, it is a good shirt that one, pretty rare too now I suspect.
On the same search I think I found my 2012 away shirt;
[url=http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bradford-Northern-Large-Mens-Rugby-League-Shirt-/260801639564?pt=UK_Rugby_Shirts&hash=item3cb8fd348cNorthern red away shirt[/url
A modern version of that would surely sell well wouldn't it??? go on Kooga, you know you want to.
