If he was off quota I bet we'd keep him. Seems to have struggled when picked anywhere but on the wing. He's not the worst player ever to don a Bulls shirt but he does have a problem with his defence and his ball security. That added to his way of sloping around like he's not bothered haven't endeared him lately.

Well good luck to him. He'll be adequate enough on the wing without being a world beater. Widnes should steer well clear of playing him anywhere else!

I liked him. Thought he looked pretty decent for the first half of the season. When he got moved around he obviously was not good enough, and his confidence seemed to go.

But he is lazy, there is no denying that. Watch him in the warm ups and he can't be d half the time.

Amazing how him and Herbert were warming up together before the wire game, and TBH neither of them looked like they could be bothered !!!

I said this on the Widnes board, he could come back and bite us on our backsides next year. After half the season, most fans said he deserved a new contract, then he got played out of position and it all fell apart. We shall see whther this is a mistake, or a good move.

He'll do okay on the wing for you. Don't play him in the centres and dont expect a superstar then you should be happy enough with the signing.

Very inconsistent and he seems to struggle to maintain concentration. Can catch a ball that you would expect most players to drop, but then will simply drop the ball from a straight forward pass. Same with his kicking, will knock one over from the touchline and then hit the post 5 m from the right of the sticks. Too many errors, too many miss tackles this year.

I've more chance of joining the Chippendales than Ah Van making next years dream team.

Jury's out on Ah Van for me. From what I've seen he has the ingredients to be decent but I also have to take notice ofwhat you fellas say on here - could he be a scapegoat for your indifferent form? after all, every team has one or two when things aren't going well.

Definately not a scapegoat, the whole team has been absolute gash but Ah Van by far has been the worst, and his laziness and lack of concentration is second to none !!!

Most players raise their games against old teams whether they leave on good terms or not though. I think this is the right decision, not quick enough for wing, not able to adapt for centre

We gave him a year, he had protential, he did a job with kicking and some good tries. Nice bloke from what I've heard but he needs to move on.

I saw a few games on sky and he looked half decent, and 11 tries in 24 games is not too bad.Hopefully with some coaching and a decent centre, he can improve on his tackling. Hopefully been given a 2 yr contract, he will show more effort. I am hoping, but i suppose some players are crap at one team, and are better at another team.Anyway time will tell i suppose and is still young enough to improve.
