I really wish we could have kept hold of him, he was showing a lot of promise this year.

Highly dissapointing.

He was the only one of our young three quarters who I thought would develop into a quality SL player and I really wish we could have kept him. Certainly looked the part in his cameos in the first team.

Huddersfield have pulled off a good signing there I feel.

I hope this doesn't come back to haunt us like Ryan Atkins has.

disapointed we didnt manage to hang onto joe. from his little gametime he looked a better prospect than crookes. On the other hand we set a value on him and didnt exceed it which is probably a good thing.

on a side note anyone notice the date stamp on the articel says 4.40pm tuesday 14th sept? wonder if someone at T&A has goofed and this article was supposed to be released after our next signing announcement.

How come we'll get compo?

It's something to do with being under a certain age and us offering him a contract on at least the same terms. If that's the case and they choose to go elsewhere, you have to be compensated. To avoid clubs just stealing all the best young talent. Same rules in football.

Someone else probably knows specifics, but it's something along those lines.

Hudders certainly like nicking our juniors. However will this one turn out to be a Larne Patrick or an Abdul Khan?

wardle signed at beginning of 2008 season Iirc so we should be inline for 11-12k from hudds. not a massive amount but could come in handy to put in the pot if we're looking to pay the odd transfer fee.
