| Jamie Foster, Jake Emmitt and Andrew Dixon all started the season as U20 grade players. Excellent for them to end up in a grand final.
Tommy Makinson and Carl Forster will be the next ones imo.

| Pity Emmitt is on his bike to Cas. Proved me wrong in the last games he has played and looks a good signing for them.
Heard Makinson is grease lightning? Reckon he will get a gig on the wing at any point next year?

What about Lee Gaskell?
He's always looked good whenever I have seen him play.

I think it was him who had his debut in the first team a couple of months back. Just one match, which we lost. He didn't strike me as good or as poor. He didn't really make an impact at all. But it was his debut and, apart from a cameo performance in the following match, we haven't seen anything of him since at first grade.

I would not say grease lightening, but is reasonably quick, is strong for his age and has good footwork.
He also kicks goals.
Carl Forster is a monster considering he is only 18.
Immense promise that lad.
Gaskell is quick but from the limited times ive seen him he is more of a big pacey runner than a creative standoff. It was noticable for example against the pies in under 20's that when Wheeler was put at standoff and Gaskell moved to fullback that Saint looked more creative with the ball and started causing Wigan problems.
Pity though that Wheeler currently looks like a prop than a standoff. If he slimmed down and got a yard or five of pace back as a result, he would be devastating IMO.

That was against catalans and he took a massive hit but got up and scored an excellent solo try after it. Definitely looked pretty good.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

I'd like to see more of McGennis. He looked like he had a bit of extra spark compared to Dixon and Ashurst (although, as I've stated before, I though Ashurst's form increased dramatically just prior to his injury).
This year must also be the last chance for our great white hope, Gareth Frodsham, to do something with himself. I understand he's struggled with injuries, but if he doesn't do something this year, he'll be out on his ear soon enough. Maybe get him over to Widnes for a couple of months.
Also IMO we need to get Tom Armstrong to a Superleague club on loan. Surely somewhere like Harlequins or Hull KR would take a punt on him, given his try scoring in the reserves?
