| Saints should have started with Mose more often this season. I really don't see why Cunningham has continued to throw Amor at some of the bigger packs in the first twenty minutes when he could have let Mose take the sting out of their big guys thus freeing Amor up to use his footwork against a tiring opposition.
It's completely senseless to keep running Amor down when he KNOW Mose is perfectly capable of playing 20m stretches. If Mose's fitness isn't up to par then this would be the ideal way of keeping him on his toes.

| Yes, Mose has picked up from around the Easter period, still frustrating though that the club still don,t know how to use him correctly. First 5 minutes he came on yesterday he didn,t get one decent pass to drive the ball in, he put in a good defensive display in his first stint. After that he came came close to a MOM display, quite a few times Widnes didn,t commit 3 or 4 players to the tackle and got stung with his strength, power and offload.
Was that his 50th consecutive game yesterday, he seems to play with a lots of enthusiasm when the sun his on his back doesn't he.

| We shouldn't forget the fact that Mose has clearly been homesick and like anyone facing the prospect of no source of income was probably not fully right in the head until he'd sorted out a contract back home. The fact that his game has lifted a couple of gears just as his deal at St. George has finally been made public shouldn't be considered coincidental.

Funny that as you PM me a while back saying I have good knowledge of rugby
I've explained my this before but as you follow me about on here and quote nearly every post I make So I'll explain again.
I think Mose is a good prop and on his day is one of the best in super league. I like him as person and have nothing against him at all.
However his "on the days" are t far apart. Some weeks he just can't be bothered doing anything and Doesbt get in double figures for his carries. He walks back into the line and it can be 3rd tackle before he's back. I can't stand it when walmsley, amour and couple young lads doing his work. He won't do hard yards out of our 20m (agsinst widnes he did and was massive for us) and leaves the other props to do the tough work.
I know he draws players in and that makes space but he Doesnt do that enough. It's very rare he runs his weight and the guy is massive which the props Union on sky have also mentioned.
I wish him well in the NRL and hope he goes well but I'm happy to have another prop in that will play longer than 8 mins, that will help his team mates out when backs to the wall.

It wasn't aimed at anybody in particular, more the general negativity towards him but again, you take it as a personal attack. As for following you around, we've had a couple of discussions over the last week. Prior to that we hadn't conversed in weeks. I'll remind you that you've just quoted me and presumed I'm referring to you when I haven't quoted you. Had I meant you in particular, rest assured you'd have been quoted. Don't let evidence get in the way of you and your little ego though.
We will never agree on Mose. You judge him off the stats sheet. I, and others, see beyond a judging criteria that removes all context.
Tasi will offer workrate. He'll look better on your stats sheets. He won't change games though. He won't offer the sheer dominance that Mose does in big games. I accept that a lot of the time he's lazy but big games he turns up and changes games. Tasi won't provide that.

I have got to agree with you on Mose in that he will be missed next year. The intimidation factor is one thing that is not measured in any compiled stats & Mose Masoe brings this to the table in bucket loads. The tackle and then follow through on McIllorum during the recent Wigan game being a prime example of 'showing who is boss' against the oppositions most aggressive player and not just picking on the easy targets will be missed by his current team mates next year.

| i think he is under valued and is not as bad as he is made out to be.
Simply put, he is a game changer. In big games people like Mose will pull something out of nothing.
I was hoping Savellio would do that in years to come along side Percival in the Centre.

| Don't listen to these idiots who barely manage a dozen functioning brain cells between the lot of them.
They would have you believe that a player who has strung together FIFTY CONSECUTIVE GAMES is "lazy" - yet for some mysterious reason has never been dropped (whilst other players have been dropped for any number of reasons).
Not one of them has ever produced a satisfactory explanation for the above - other than "Keiron's confused" or "want's to give him a chance". Utterly ridiculous.
If there is such a thing as a "lazy" professional rugby league player then Kevin Iro was lazy. Tommy Martyn was lazy. Paul Newlove was lazy.
I assume we should have dropped the lot of them too.

| I can honestly say that Mose has won us games, I can't recall any that he has lost for us. There are a couple on here who will be glad to see him go. They can join all the forwards in super league with the same line of thought.

Don,t think there are many fans on here who are hypo critical, not sure if St Pete has seen enough games with Mose or its a stubborn blinkered opinion with zero tolerance.
St Pete will always be the first one in if he plays with little effect and probably the last one to praise him if he plays well, its a similar thing with Turner as well.
I should imagine a lot of fans watch Mose,s game a bit deeper these days, his first stint is usually "the lazy one" where he doesn,t get the opportunity to do many carries, used as a decoy and the pass goes behind him to a follow up player.
Mose has been quite good for a few months now, he,s building up effectiveness quite nicely towards the play offs.

That's BS!
I've praised him when I think he's played well. I started a thread last season saying how well he had been playing.
I just don't get caught up in all the samoan love in with him. If he was signed as a english man from leigh he would be slated for being fat, unfit and lazy.
When he's up for it, he's good, when he's not he's awful. 8 mins from a pro rugby player is utter shocking.

He did pretty much the same last season. Truth is we need him. Losing Greenwood and Vea placed a hell of a burden on the rest of the lads and both Walmsley and Amor have looked a little jaded recently.

Mose SHOULD HAVE won us the game against Castleford. That big drive he put in on fourth tackle with ninety seconds to go took us from our own half to within drop-goal range. Had we not made a total hash of the execution it would have been another game in Mose's pocket.
It remains to be seen whether Tasi or Haggerty can approach anything like that kind of influence.

They're expected to though because that's the game they play compared to Mose who is brought in for impact.
Whilst he can be lazy and sometimes very frustrating, usually come the big games Masoe is on it and frightens the life out of sides with his impact.
Whilst Tasi may be more consistent than Masoe, I really don't think he'll have that same gamechanging ability that Masoe has.

Walmsley: Outside top 10.
Masoe: 363
Metres:

Walmsley: 2288
Masoe: 1971
Carries:

Walmsley: 270

Admittedly, 2015's stats are better (so far). But given that Mose plays less minutes and that figure is COMPLETELY OUTSIDE OF HIS CONTROL this accusation of "laziness" has no basis in reality . Given the same amount of game time he would have been ahead in every department on the 2014 stats sheet.
Also, Mose really shouldn't have played for the first ten games. Had we not suffered injuries I'm sure we'd have pulled him because he clearly wasn't fit. Granted, part of it was his own fault. But in mitigation he had suffered a pretty bad injury. The point I'm making is that Mose played through his issues. And as anyone who has ever tried to lose weight will testify - he worked damned hard to get himself back in shape. You can't be "lazy" and lose two, perhaps three stones of weight. Impossible.

It's his job to be in peak condition.
I know I'm outnumbered on my opinion of Mose. And I know that he's a potential game changer. I cheer him on like every other Saints fan when he takes the ball in and when he's crunched an opposition player. I honestly believe though that Mose would be playing more minutes if he actually volunteered a bit more whilst on the pitch. Taking more carries, getting us out of our 20 etc Exactly like he did at Widnes. He actually seemed to be on the pitch a bit longer although I don't have the stats.
He is lazy, mate. And frustrating. I think most will agree with me on that aspect. When he wants to chip in though, he can be a belting player. However I'd take Walmsley & Amor over him all day long.
