Apparently Kevin Sinfield's body language is a bit shifty.

| Just read that Kirke had stopped breathing for a time following the incident, so kudos to the medical staff in attendance.
As for all this about Sinfield... I don't recall anything that could in any terms be described as untoward. Methinks there's a Himalaya being made out of a hummock.

I think you sometimes see what you want to see. If Kirke got up straight away then nothing would have been said about LOD leading with his arm or a collision of heads. Because he was sparko on the ground some trick themselves into thinking the worst and believe they saw him go in aggressively with a leading arm intending to harm Kirke. Get in a crowd with like minded people then you seem to see things a lot differently. Think this is human nature and everyone has done it sometime or other. The main thing is Kirke's ok as when he was down the situation looked very serious.
Also good on LOD for going to see Kirke on the stretcher when he got sent off. He must have been seething inside being unjustly sent off but still had the professionalism and humanity to see if the guy was alright. Just shows what a great sport this is most of the time

Did you miss the bit where I said imo there was nothing wrong with the tackle, nothing at all.
I was sat near the dugouts and LOD was sent off then walked towards the tunnel and was then told by the coaching staff to go back and see Kirke.

To be fair his 'checking' on Kirke happening as he was ordered back onto the pitch and just before he got to the referee, more trying to look compassionate and sympathic just for the eyes of the ref who he must of suspected was about to change his decision. He had at least 2 mins and a talk with the ref before being subbed off where he could of orginally gone to check on Kirke, it was clear straight away it was serious and didn't take 7-8 mins to realise that, plus LOD knowing better than anyone that they had clashed head should of known how serious it possibly was straight away. He might not be the most popular amongst Leeds fans but Lee Briers urgent reaction when Kirke suffered a similar incident against Warrington was a proper class act.

It wasn't aimed at you that but supporters in general. I thought LOD was sent off then went to see Kirke but I may have got that wrong as I remember seeing LOD holding Kirke's hand and talking to him. The main thing is Kirke's alright and LOD isn't banned for Sunday

I doubt Alibert's command of English is that good to be honest; all his total cognitive power is mostly spent trying to make sure he can [iconsistently[/i count up to six.

| O'Donnell's head is no harder than anyone else's. In a head clash it all depends on where you get hit, how hard and at what angle. As for Kirke, I hope he doesn't play this weekend. Regardless of his apparent recovery there is a lot of evidence that the brain can take several weeks to fully recover from being bruised, and another knock to the head too soon can multiply the damage. Any talk of 'toughness' when it comes to head injuries is macho bullsh*t.

I'm not sure that your first point is necessarily true. In the boxing world there are fighters that are much better at taking shots than others. That said, there's insufficient evidence that the same applies to O'Donnell.
Re Kirke, I'd agree that he shouldn't play for a while, perhaps not for the rest of the season. And the macho bullsh*t sentiment I very much agree with.

| Yep I'd agree with that too, I think we're often too quick to send players back out on to the pitch again after head injuries. I cringe sometimes when I see a player who has obviously taken a blow to the head and can barely stand, then carry on playing. It's only a game in the end.
