| Top 3 looking like the ones to beat now.
Just hope we finish in the 2 as some potential banana skins in the play offs.
Like you guys are saying it`s time to get our away form sorted now.
Good solid performance yesterday and was hoping Piroe and or Joseph would get on the scoresheet to boost their confidence.

Yeah Burnley picking up a few results of late but they have a tough run coming up. Fingers crossed top 2 get a bit of a gap on the rest after Xmas.

| Pleased for him, deserves a big job. One of the toughest jobs in Europe that though... very very demanding club and fanbase with a pretty tight budget for a big club.

| Bit of help needed here folks. Why is the earliest page on this thread coming up for me. Don’t fancy having to scroll through nearly 3000 posts to see the latest input. Great win yesterday btw. Any help appreciated, though I may not even see any replies so apologies if there’s no response from me.

| And I thought it was my laptop playing up. I tried replying to Leeds Owl and I ended up back in July for some reason! Thought Bogle or James were by far a better choice for MoM than Piroe who whilst he scored 2 should/could have had 5. Very good all round display again against a team intent in dirty off the ball tactics as usual missed by the linesman and referee but not by anyone else.

My M.O.M was Bogle but thought James had another really good display. When the ball goes down the right hand side with those two we have some real penetration, it stays down there deep in the opponents half. Too many times down the left it come right back to our defenders unfortunately. We’re in a great position despite not being the referee’s favourites. The apology from the referee’s governing body re the non sending off for the Preston player is too little too late. We have been on the wrong end of so many decisions over the years a cheap apology doesn’t cut the mustard for me.

| It’s not really clear what Tanaka’s current status really is, dropped or rotated ? If he’s dropped he may well feel a little miffed, but the result and performance on Thursday spoke for itself. We’ll get a bit more clarity when the team sheet is revealed on Sunday. If Tanaka’s not in the team he’s been dropped, simple as that. I’m struggling to see where he comes back into the team tbh. Looks like Ampadu is back for sure, which means Tanaka’s reintroduction would either mean shifting Rothwell and dropping/rotating Aaronson, or dropping/rotating Rothwell. For me Rothwell stays in the team, he’s the dead ball specialist and gives the team great balance. If Aaronson is what we call the “number 10”, I don’t see Rothwell moving up and taking his place, it’s a totally different position and he’s a totally different player. It will be very interesting to see who is dropped/rotated, but this is why Farke is paid the big money.

| Lee Sobot at the YEP tipping Tanaka to come in for Rothwell. Might we see Solomon taking the set pieces in and around the box ?

| I think that`s exactly it the players will rotate during this period and all need to be match fit.
Aaronson might need a "rest" and I would look to play Gnonto there or maybe Tanaka can fill that role.
Don`t know too much about him if he`s an attacking midfielder or a defensive one where Farke tends to use him.
I would also like to see Schmidt get some more minutes even though Byram has been one of our better players he does struggle with too many games in quick succession.

Solomon needs to be careful too. he has played well recently though so again bring ramazani in v blackburn.

| Perfect night for us. Some players got a rest, others got minutes in their legs, we got the 3 points, and nobody got injured. Pretty telling that the only player out of the front four not rested was Aaronson. Farke obviously sees more in him that a lot of supporters. For me there’s nobody plays that role like him. His execution isn’t always the best, but he runs in behind defenders, finds pockets of space, and his work rate is phenomenal. That’s why Farke has stuck with him when others have doubted him.

| Good all round performance away from home where not many teams will claim 3 points.
When you think Aaronson missed 2 sitters along with Joseph 2, James 1 and Bamford 1 even Ampadu 1 this could have been a drubbing away from home.
Not sure I agree with your thoughts on Aaronson.
Yes he runs around a lot but can`t win a 1 on 1 contact and often makes the wrong decision.
But all credit to him he keeps going and pops up at the right time.
Joseph another who runs a lot but his finishing is terrible and looks like another Joffy.
Rodon brilliant at the back once again and personally think Rothwell adds more going forward than both Tanaka and Ampadu.
Reading the YEP report and can`t remember the "miracle save" from Meslier.

I don’t think Aaronson is perfect, but he’s fits the role better than anyone else in the team. Farke has worked at this level long enough to see how a player affects games, and not necessarily when they have the ball. There is no other real candidate for what people call “the number 10 role”. I thought Ramazani was weak tonight, something Aaronson is accused of. I also thought Gnonto gave possession away far too easily in the 2nd half. They are the competition for Aaronson, and at the moment Farke only sees one winner. I don’t see him being displaced anytime soon.

| I think Aaronson adds to the team for sure, can’t see anyone else is the squad doing his role, and you’d probs need to spend premier league money to get a better player in January.
Thought we missed Dan James tonight, and the three replacements showed why they are the usual starters.
Farke gets a list of stick for “boring” football, but the goal was a thing of beauty
