| Says that five Super League clubs will be looking for new coaches in the next few months (Saints, Bradford, Huddersfield, Catalans and Leeds). Intimation is that both Bluey and Nathan Brown are going to the NRL with Walters sacked.
Any thoughts on who goes where? Stephen Kearney, Ricky Stuart and Graham Murray come to mind as available names, but there may be others.

I don't think Walters is that bad a coach at all. Too early to write him off. Not worked out for him at Catalans, fair enough, but he is still better than a lot of others.
Doesn't Mal Meninga get mentioned every time Saints are looking for a new coach.
Sticking neck on line, I will say, McDermott to Bulls, Kear to Huddersfield, and Morgan to Saints. Which of course then leaves another 3 clubs looking for coaches.

| I’d like to see Brian Nobel at the helm next year.
Very unlikely to happen though thanks to him hating Leeds with a passion. But I recon these two together would be a very formidable partnership.

| Leeds and Saints will both likely go overseas.
Wonder if the coach of a certain NRL side currently on the wrong end of some very bad publicity might fancy a clean start elsewhere?

Yes please!
In reality, I could see him sticking it out at Melbourne. If anything, his stock could go up even higher if he can achieve something with an effectively brand new Storm team next season.

| Kear to Huddersfield makes sense, now you mention it. Morgan to Saints is the big rumour. IMO Menzies will be at least assistant at the Bulls, and maybe Ricky Stuart to Catalans if Nathan Brown takes his job down under.
I'm not up on the NRL enough to know who's unsetled or potentially available there, but I'd assume Leeds would look there if there's a vacancy, unless they go for the NZ incumbent again...

A lot could depend on where Kearney thinks his squad is after the Anzac Test.
If they take a good hiding and don't look to be at the races he may not want to stick around until the next generation of players develops behind them.

Or maybe we should repeat the Smith experiment by getting a departing Huddersfield coach ?

The test of a good coach is does he make a team better than the sum of its parts.
Had Huddersfield been able to achieve in their highest profile games last year - the Challenge Cup final and the playoffs - then there would be no argument that applied to Nathan Brown.
As it is, there's still a question mark there IMO particularly in light of his unnecessary and emotional outburst at the weekend.

| Kearney for me - he would be a superb replacement - nobody at Hull has anything but the highest praise for him during his time there.
No better coach to learn your trade under than Bellamy

His outburst was spot on.
His stock was raised in my eyes by those comments. Officials are shockingly bad this year, run by a completely inept individual. It is about time the clubs started voicing their concerns.
I like a coach who speaks his mind. As long as he is not just moaning for moaning sakes.

| Dunno if he did the right thing or not but I liked the message.
It was biblical. Eye for an eye.
Old school rugby league. He even named the lads who would "do you" if you decked their play makers.
Tremendous.

I fully agree.
Really refreshing to hear a sports coach say exactly what he is feeling and wants to say as opposed to all the usual cliches and 'no comment' 'i Didn't see it' ,bite the tongue kind of stuff

You're having a giggle aren't you?
By all means express those opinions in private to your players and staff. If you've got a beef with the quality of officiating, take it through the appropriate channels at Red Hall
What you don't do is turn our sport into a virtual replica of football where managers/coaches spend all their time in the media wittering about any decision that goes against their team. You certainly don't declare open season on opposition players. It's like Arsene Wenger turning up at a press conference and saying that in the next game Arsenal are going to kick the opposition off the pitch.
Mind you, if he feels he has to tell the likes of Bungalow and Fa'alogo it's their job to look after the little guys it says as much about their respective intelligence as it does about Brown.
And G1 - any coach who thinks Bungalow is an "enforcer" clearly has some unused loft space of his own. He's about as terrifying as a Fimble.

Was only a couple of years ago he re-arranged Peacock's face in a pre-season friendly.

IIRC it was a particularly cheap and snidey shot delivered from the blindside when Peacock wasnt expecting it . Mason may well be a bit tasty but I dont think you chose the best example here fella .

Peacock was held by Griffin at the time also very similar to Matautia's attack on Graham Mckay at HQ.
