| [quote="leeds owl":1bjrzfqd]I don’t think Aaronson is perfect, but he’s fits the role better than anyone else in the team. Farke has worked at this level long enough to see how a player affects games, and not necessarily when they have the ball. There is no other real candidate for what people call “the number 10 role”. I thought Ramazani was weak tonight, something Aaronson is accused of. I also thought Gnonto gave possession away far too easily in the 2nd half. They are the competition for Aaronson, and at the moment Farke only sees one winner. I don’t see him being displaced anytime soon.[/quote:1bjrzfqd]
Yes I agree about Ramazani and Gnonto who flattered to deceive again.
I put it down to lack of game time but you cannot pick 13 players each week.
If like you say Aaronson is the best choice at 10 which I`m not disputing.
I would worry that if he gets injured we do not have a back up hence why we should look to bring in someone on loan imo.

| i agree about byram. kills loads of breaks. solomon i thouhht was looking dangerous. i'd have dropped piroe to 10 to find a pocket of space.
as it stands, and it will probably change, sheff utd on for 1 point from 9 so makes ours look superb.
big game at hull.then it's a fortnight with only harrogate in there and surely resting players.

| We said it earlier on here that Byram will struggle to play 3 games so for me that was a risk to select him.
Solomon the only one showing a threat in the second half with James showing nothing and he brings Solomon off.
What was the point in Bamford coming on again.
Just keep him out please.
Need to beat Hull and today we will forget about it.
But we always seem to struggle against physical teams.
Not sure if anyone heard Merson saying he feels for Leeds as they struggle to break down teams who sit back.
I sort of get his point but we keep snagging the points.

Farke has been somewhat out managed by John Eustace in the last month it has to be said. Two games and only one goal scored, and an iffy penalty at that. We were outmuscled to some extent, and their left back stood up to our two best attacking threats in Bogle and James very well. Some teams will find you out and Blackburn have done this season. Our lack of aerial threat and strength up front with Piroe was again highlighted, and this may well have focused some minds with the transfer window opening.

| some good points.
as good as james has been his crossing was abysmal yesterday. we got into some great positions wide but apart from 1 supurb cross each by solomon and james. from which we could have scored twice, we created nothing.
a tired display against a big, solid side who housed all the game.
should have won, got a point, move on.
as I said before sheff utds 1 point in 9 puts our christmas into perspective

| Agree with a lot of the above. didn't see the game as was laid up badly but from what i have read and the extended highlights, we were well below par against a team who are a bit of a bogey side for us.
I heard an interesting stat about Bamford that he hasn't scored a goal when coming on as a sub for a very long time.. he's very rarely an effective sub. The loss of Bogle and Byram i think probably cost us the win in the end, i suspect we would have defended better when we went 1 up. Strujik defending was poor for the goal also, he should have blocked the shot.
Still results went for us and Sheff U have had a horrendous Christmas which is great. Nice 3 point gap now (plus excellent goal diff) will do. Hull on Saturday is an important one. We need to go hell for leather at them then rest everyone for the Cup. Use the Cup to get mins in Bamford and Joseph along with Ramazanni - then play the young lads. Debayo, Crew etc.
