Yet rotating doesn't hurt cunnigham and roby at saints, every teams different. Cameron Smiths that good bringing anybody else on would weaken them massively, however gleeson and penky or cunnigham and roby interchanging probably doesn't weaken us or saints that much.

I'm extremely confident our squad will remain intact for next season. The atmos at the club is great, and despite the inevitable whingers who plague every club, the fans are behind the players and they all seem to be happy here, nobody wants to leave.

Salford are a club going backwards. They talk about this that and the other but have nothing positive to show. When will the Stadium be built? They have a Coach who is poor in Mcrae and should not be in SL now let alone next time. Widnes offer far more. Why go to Salford and suffer being second to Alker and getting beaten if not hammered each week and play in a boring side? Fax least win most of the time and play an exciting brand of Rugby and has a positive feel about the place. The Ground is improving all the time. We may not get in to SL but SL is not the be all and end all of things.

Least we are doing something-Salford have had so many plans and talked so much they are like Wakey! There is little chance a Stadium will be built in either Salford or Wakey over the next 2 years despite all the crap they give out

I wouldn't expect it to be another hooker. Beswick and gleese would take the roles.

I agree. Would also mean that we have a solid defender on at hooker all game. No need to look for a replacement. If Penky does go, then I hope we get a fee for him and not just a promise of a friendly.

As I said a few weeks ago, hookers in my opinion should not be doing just 20 minutes then changing. This is all started because of saints and the bulls as they had 2 hookers swapping, newton and cunningham who were not 80 minute players due to their age and weight, so everyone started jumping on this bandwagon.

Gleeson, Penky and Beeswax are all fit athletes and have no problem playing 80 minutes, swapping after 20 just messes things up. It takes a while to get into a game as well and penky was trying to get 80 minutes of play into 40 hence why he looked like he was trying to much.

A good hooker can play 80, Elliss did it and Barrow didnt do to bad.

In a funny way if its true then I expect to be more consistent and dare I say a better "team" as a result, yes penky as an individual will be missed but I thought all the changing during games at hooker affected us.

If Penky has gone, then I think we have enough cover in the hooking role with Gleeson and Beswick

One option could be to bring Govin back as cover for hooker and stand off, but I would much rather the money be spent on a specialist centre - the one area I feel we are still lacking

I would guess penky's wages are relatively high in terms of our squad, so should he go, releasing that amount of money should allow us to bring in a decent level of player (whether that be hooker or elsewhere).

On a seperate note, I wonder if we are due an up and coming Bulls squad player again this year? it does seem that we have started a trend of doing this over the last 2 seasons.
