Had a strange season so far. Bulls were underdone, London looked light but we allowed Rochdale to give us a game. The rest have been light years away. I'm expecting, fax and fev to be bigger challenges which is what we need. No way a foregone conclusion tomorrow

Facts are facts. The RFL would like Toulouse and Toronto in $uper£eagu€ along with Catalans and maybe a US team - who knows? So that leaves 8 UK teams. You can't see Leeds, Wigan, Saints disappearing from the top flight. So that leaves 5 places. Your Widneses, Salfords, Rervers, Shuddersfields, Leighs, Trinities, Cas Vegases and the like will be looking over their shoulders. Fax, Sheffield and Fev just have a few games against ex-$uper£eagu€ sides to which to look forward.

THe "rule" as you call it is definitely on the table and the reason why is because Wigan and other "big" clubs are saying their crowds are down because of the middle 8 structure and we all know the RFL like to keep the big boys happy.
Either of the two T's aren't exactly going to pack em in and the crowds will be down even more contradicting the reason for the change in the first place.

In any case all clubs including HKR in a 1 up 1 down scenario will simply have to beat off the competition including the the two T's, you ask for a sterner challenge in games so if it comes then you have your wish and Rovers will either be good enough or not.

Special mention for Will Sharp. He might beat himself up over those errors (i hope he doesn't) but he had a great game today.

He was really dangerous, but unfortunately came up with two catestrophic errors which playing at Full Back you just can't do.

Really looking forward to coming over to The Shay, beautiful ground. I was last there for Italy's game in the World Cup, Three Pigeons is always the destination of choice.

We played some excellent high risk rugby all afternoon which by and large came off for us.Thought Will's pass was on after a brilliant gather,best way to defend a 6 point lead is to make it 12 IMO.Fantastic crowd 7k plus wasn't aware you were getting that level of support for championship matches.

We were saying at half time that if Fax scored first after the break then I couldn't see us getting back in it, luckily for us we got the benefit of a couple of bounces and held you out then went away a bit. Scotty still has the rugby brain he always had, had he had a bit of pace (and a little less timber) he'd have been a top player, one of my favourite players here back in the day.

Our season pass sales went really well after relegation, think it was on the plus side of 6k, barring cup games we will be averaging over 7k so its been good, saying that if we don't go up this year I can see that taking a nose dive. Championship rugby is good for a year but wouldn't think too many would pay year on year to watch it.

I'm afraid you may have to brace yourselves for a longer than 1 year stay on yesterdays evidence.Although as one of your fans said,how bad do we have to be to lose a game ? thought our support was poor till i realised how much the day cost me.

Thats the fear for me, saying that there's a way to go between now and the 8's, I'm expecting at least 4 new faces in before we get into the business end. I must admit it is a worry that we can seemingly play error strewn rugby and still get away with it, we need to be punished to not let it become a habit.

The surprise is that Leigh last year never blew it away during the season and had lost a couple by now. Was the league that much better?

I agree our prices are high, at least you should be thankful it was a day in the sun, it can be pretty bleak in there in the wind and rain.

IMO the league is worse this season and if apathy sinks in you have 3 games versus super league opposition later on to hone in on a possible definitive game.Excellent weather,super league ground/facilities and half time entertainment but £28 in/park isn't likely to attract visiting fans to watch their team get hammered more than likely.

I think the league is stronger overall this time but still think we are good enough for a top four finish,next 5 or 6 games are winnable so up to us to keep the momentum going,Dont think KR will be too bothered with away fans looking at the crowd yesterday,its a massive credit to them that they can pull in that kind of red and white crowd,wish we could see the Shay full with blue and white support.

Really good performance from the lads yesterday although its pretty clear to see if we miss the top 4 it will be because of our attack. We look like headless chickens at times in the opposition quarter so that is the obvious are that needs most improvement. I do wonder if any of the other top teams in this league would have closed that game out yesterday though. That said it has to give us confidence but now we need to back that up with a performance against Swinton because its a waste of time losing to Hull Kr but turning in a good performance only to not turn up next week and drop points. We should win our next 4 games before we face Batley which would put us in or around the top 4 as they all play each other one way or another in the next 4 games so they will drop points.

As for the Hull KR and Leigh debate, Leigh only lost one game last season probably due to losing their coach about a week before the season. The reality is though that they had a team primed for SL before the season started giving them chance to tinker through the season and listening to players as the season grew on they just got better and better where no one was going to stop them in this league. Hull KR look nowhere near good enough to go straight back up, their pack looks very weak and you can not have a weak pack and expect to compete with SL clubs, its not just tinkering needed there but some wholesale changes, whether you can bring that sort of quality needed in during the season is debatable. Id expect them to lose a couple of games before the end of the season but at the moment its anyones guess as to who to because all the top end of the championship look a bit out of sorts maybe apart from Toulouse who on our showing yesterday will bust Hull Kr up the middle for fun as their pack is immense.

Leigh lost two and drew one

Toulouse played well and just beat featherstone yesterday, whilst rovers turned in their worst performance of the season yesterday (against a good Halifax team, who played well, can't take that away from you) and still won comfortably in the end. I'd be worried if we played awesome and just won/lost yesterday, but we didn't. To say Toulouse will steam roll us is silly.

Also, don't discredit your own squad, very good championship side who I would think could finish 3/4th. I watched the fax/Toulouse game and thought you were robbed by that kick to the corner try. I've been to every Rovers game so far (bar London, which I watched the full match on HKR tv) and you're the team we've come up against In the championship so far.

I don't think many who have watched that game think the score reflected it...Toulouse were more than value for their win, dominating us during the early stages and they clearly seem suited by the faster track (every team says this about themselves but in their case it does look to be true). Certainly the most impressive team Fev have faced this season and clearly looked a different proposition on that surface with all their stars back.

Do you feel Fev played the best they can against Toulouse then? If that's the case, Toulouse will finish second in this league for sure.

A bit late but a top effort from all the lads on Sunday as while KR fans are saying they did not play well they seem to forget that it was because Fax really gave it to them and put in a big shift which put them off their game.
Nobody will win at KR this year in our league and I am proud of how close we got to them we just ran out of energy!
