| Sad to see Whitey go. Will hold fond memories of him from the "Calland Era" where him, Worrincy and Shad use to power out of the acting half for us at the start of sets.

| I'm still not sure with Rettie, big fan at the start of the season but I agree that he's never looked truly threatening in attack. Just out of curiosity, what are our wingers like in the reserves? Any that could make the move up or do we need to bring one in?

Only thing I remember of Rettie this season is his sending off at Batley, poor season for him.

| Just don't rate Rettie at all. Was disappointed when we signed him and he's done nothing to change my mind. In fact I struggle to see what he actually brings to the side?? I think he scored 7 tries at Batley last year.
Karl rates him though so he must bring something, I just fail to see what it actually is!!? His brain fart at Batley in theory actually cost us 2nd place as Leigh did us on PD. However be unfair to blame him in his entirety for that.
It's a team game and today being a prime example we looked anything but a team.
Sad to see Whitey go he never really got a look in with KH. However I also don't think he ever took his chance like I'd have expected when he did get in the side.
Keighley have a good un in Whitey, Haley etc and should make next years Fax v KeighFax games even more interesting!!

Defo, Patto is an out and out winger for me and to be fair to him he has filled the centre pretty well but we certainly need to improve in the backs. Bit gutted for Whitey and he will make a big difference to Keighley offensively!

| Arent centres meant to be able to attack and create things? Patto aint a centre and he's too slow for a winger now due to bulking up. He's been great for us but now time to say goodbye I think. He's not really done much in 2 seasons tbh though whilst never let us down not really set the world alight.

I think that is a great shout as in my opinion Patto is an out and out winger and that partnership could be awesome.

Completely agree. Summed it up yesterday in the 2nd half when Tyrer made a break, Rettie couldnt keep up with him so we bombed a chance to score. White would have been on his shoulder.

| I've been trying to think of wingers who may appeal to KH but I can't find any that weigh 18 stone. As to Reittie, and a few more, I was concerned when KH brought so many with him from Batley, and still am, that it was going to be a case of providing long term employment for his mates.

| Rettie is the Emile Heskey of rugby league, he works hard and coaches like him in their side but for supporters he has no end product.

I dont think he has the pace mate to go around them hence why he takes route 1. But he's just not effective. I struggle to see what he brings to the team personally.

| Rettie is a forwards dream.
He's big enough to act like another forward when coming away from our own line and he's very effective at it.
He just lacks that extra yard of pace to finish the half chances, but that's why we have Worrincy.
I am a fan of Rettie as his lack of pace is far our weighed by his enthusiasm and aggression

| Threequarters Paul White and James Haley, Fax’s longest serving player who as just completed his testimonial season, are both expected to join Keighley, along with prop Sean Hesketh.
Utility forward Josh Barlow was attracting interest from Swinton and Papua New Guinea veteran Makali Aizue has been linked with Batley and York.

Keighley confirmed the signings Whitey and Haley last night and Hesketh over the weekend I believe.
Be sad to see Aizue go actually.

Sad to see Whitey and Aizue go, and James is obviously fax through and through - but wont get in next year.

| I spoke to James recently and he said he just wanted to play games, ideally at Fax, but if thats not the case then he would go elsewhere
Cannot fault the guy, 10 years at the club and people often forget that he's only 27, Good luck to him, I reckon he'll do a gibbo and play a stormer against us next season.
Hesketh i'm indifferent about, he's a good championship player, but maybe not a "top" one, Rhino made a number of signings and not all were going to work out.
Josh Barlow I think will leave, didn't he talk about it last year but rhino convinced him to stay another year, hes not had a lot of game time so it'll be upto him if he's offered a deal at fax what to do
Makali is the type of player you'd rather have in your team than on the opposition, he has become a bit of a cult figure and it'll be sad if he does leave.
Surprises me that Paul White will leave, there has been a lot of competition for the wing spots most of the season and Whitey, Worricey and Reittie did seem to rotate quite a bit at the start of the season.
What I am sure about though, that for each player who's leaving, Karl will already have someone in mind, or even signed to replace them!

This is what worries me somewhat, Whitey going, rettie staying, Penky going because he got a 2 year contract, Aizue going!!! Massive mistake, Awesome for the Fans and also the only person who runs full flight as hard as he can giving the team a lift, most of the others skip about. I have to reiterate at what a poor season i have personally had as a spectator, NRC final excluded most of the games have been one man boring rugby and we look clueless in attack, Yes we have a injury ravaged side but maybe we will again next year, Old Faithful Jim has gone, between him and Aizue they tackle hard, especally aizue. We have had lucky wins this year but the better coaches in the side have had us, We only gave fev a tonking due to the Cas Game taking it out of the part time players. Yes we got to the playoffs and finished 3rd but it doesn't excuse how boring the games had been, We could be winning everything but i would still find the product i watch on the field boring. I will await the season ticket prices for next year and make my decision then, I always get it bought for christmas but this year i am not so sure its what i want, Its not a knee jerk reaction to yesterday but one that has been coming most of the season. The league is getting Diluted further next year with the additional 4 teams so expect the same names in the top 6 again next year.

| I think White has been really unlucky this season. As for taking his chances, when Rettie was banned he came in and scored tries. Wasn't it a 2 at Hunslet, 2 against York, against Sheffield, away against Leigh. Probably the same number of tries as rettie in half the number of games, if that. How else is a winger supposed to prove his point? See how many yards he can make running sideways like they have done in the past? I think he's been very hard done by.

| Massive disappointment and a mistake. Reittie is average at Best, slow and doesnt score enough tries. I feel we have Not used white and Rob Very welk and they lack confidence and See frustrated. We lacked ideas at Times this year and it has killed our wingers. Sad to see white go but understandable. Bad Start to next year wi no white and penky. Lets see who kh has in mind as replacements but cant say we Look good in the key Areas at Mo.

I can't help but think he'd be much more use in Second Row etc, I remember a few Batley fans saying the same and I think they're right. He likes running at people and like you say he's effective, but he'd be more use in the middle of the park where people could support him more if he made a break or broke the defensive line. We've always had fast wingers and it's always worked well, Rettie's impact hasn't matched up to that of Worrincy/Whites so lets sign some fast lads and get them on the wing, there must be a fair few fringe players dotted round Super League.
But as for Rettie, get him in the middle, he'd also be useful to cover any position if someone did get injured. Ultimate utility man!
