Absolutely gutted for him today, was really looking forward to seeing him this season once the grounds start to dry up. Hopefully it's not too bad an injury and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Bad injury if so but I guess the positive is that it's not a recurrence of the knee injury he has previously suffered with.

Miles Greenwood update

Miles will today have an operation at Huddersfield Infirmary where they will repair a badly broken leg. He's in very good spirits and the boys are rallying round him. If all goes to plan he will be released from hospital this Thursday.

Horrible injury, absolutely gutted for the bloke. I was talking to Seanfax after the game who told me tha Halicat was telling him he heard it snap, awful stuff. Never nice to see any player get a bad injury, even worse so close up to the spectators.

Miles tweeted a picture of the x-ray, you don't have to be a doctor to know it looks terrible.

As said elsewhere, Scott Murrell was a hero stopping with MG while he received treatment, he said his main concern was to make sure Miles don't look at it and try and reassure him, Great leadership and I'm sure it won't be forgotten

Hopefully MG's surgery will be successful and he'll make a full recovery.

There's probably a very deserving cause lined up with the buckets on Sunday. Players from other clubs offering to auction shirts, sponsored walks being arranged etc.

How about the bucket collection is for Miles this Sunday........charity begins at home and all that.

Funny I were going to mention something about this but does anyone else feel like they are getting mugged every week when you walk through the turnstiles and there is about 5 people stood there with buckets asking for donations? Now im all for giving to charity but I think its wrong how the club will let them do this while collections for the club are pushed away in a corner somewhere.

Those 2 birds who were collecting in SSB could mug me anytime !

I am inclined to agree, I am a sucker for people rattling their tins. I always say if they are prepared to stand out all day for their charities then £1 to each one is ok by me.
However when I attend a Fax game I want my money to go to the club.
Richards smiling face and a losing Fax Flier, a £1 into both Supporters Trust buckets, a Bovril and a bag of chips and then my Sunday allowance is spent.
The problem is, if the club refused to let charities in it could result in negative publicity.
I suppose the answer is, flip yer quid whichever way you want.
A collection for Miles would be ok, but in my humble opinion, a gift or a keep sake from the supporters not a couple of hundred pounds.
Simply my opinion.

Must admit me and Mrs LTD did comment on Sunday that we felt a bit ambushed by three collectors as soon as we got into the stadium from the turnstiles entry into the South Stand. They weren't collecting for Fax from what I can gather? As regards Miles why not put on a Sportsman's Dinner type event where he could be guest of honour and all funds raised from the night presented to him on the pitch at half time when he is up to it. I am sure a chant of 'There is only one Miles Greenwood' from the Fax faithful at that point would mean just as much as the chq! Just a thought.
