Just read that the U19s game is called off to preserve the pitch. Real shame if that's the reason it has been cancelled. They have had a couple of games called off already.

Surely if we are developing youth and taking this approach and these kids seriously, we should be doing more to have these games on. There are other pitches available that could be used

Last season the u20s played at West Hulls ground a couple of times, I guess for that reason. Shame they aren't doing that this season again.

Yeah, it would be nice for the club to come out and explain why they couldnt use any other ground around the hull area eg Uni, skirlaugh or west hull

it was called off to preserve the pitch maybe they should employ a groundsman and not somebody who comes in once a week to mark the pitch out they would have played at west hull but its getting used and skirlaugh and east hulls grounds changing rooms dont meet RFL standards apparently

or at the very least played it at Widnes as there ground would be fine.
