| Didn't go due to circumstances.......looks like I was lucky.
Well pasted.
0-60 last time I looked.
Still, I will be there on Sunday.....against a very useful Blackpool outfit.
Better luck then eh?

| I feel we were desperately unlucky to finish 60 - 0 down today, plenty of effort, but against one of the best drilled sides outside of SL. Got over the line twice, but were both disallowed by a touch judge with their own agenda (see fat useless touchjudge thread).
I did appreciate the irony of "What's it like to see a crowd" for one of the lowest crowds and quietest travelling supports though, hats off Barrow-ites

And what would your answer be? Since it would be your question and certainly not mine.
I wouldn't have enjoyed seeing us score nothing on a cold Winter's night and get drubbed.....no I wouldn't..... and you'd have to question someone who did.
Hence I was lucky I missed it.
What's the problem with that?
I'll be there Sunday....

| first ten minutes of the game were evenly matched, and you lot could of gone ahead, but abit class, and you guys dropped your heads as we ran up a large score in the first half, then after the break, you lot came out, played like you enjoy it and tried to penitrate our line, making a few half breaks, but we should champions composure and did the job
as for the singing.
A its hard to be loud in a silent souless stadium, were only the away support sing and noise is created when to teams are singing, and making an atmosphere, the keepmoat was built to keep the noise in
B so you lot will see an away support of 60 ever week ( 60 is the minimum i could be, 1 bus, in 2 cars) which is a good away support considering ... Mid week, we got back to barrow about 2 am, and that it was an obvius win for us,

| Took in the first game of the campaign last night and when you looked at the Barrow line up you feared the worse. They and Widnes should be neck and neck this year and if I was a Barrow fan I would be purring with anticipation. Why it took Barrow so long to spread it out was a surprise, when they did they were ruthless and the size, speed and class told. I came away feeling that we will not finish bottom of our League, that we may just surprise one or two. The effort was first class and for that I applaud the players for not giving in. I hope that TM can develop a settled side and one that we can look forward to seeing this year rather than the past four years when we have had a 'fresh' look every six months.
To sum up, enjoyed the effort from the players, the breaks did'nt quite go our way ( Jemmo may have covered that in his deleted thread ) I look forward to a settled season, some hopeful surprises and the growth of Doncaster Rugby League. (Oh and watching Rooney on TV getting a buttercup stain on his crisp clean shirt when he may be forced to put a tackle effort in)

| I'd like to add that i'm not too dissapointed. Barrow put out a really strong team and were just too strong and pacey for us. Our young guys never stopped trying and as has already been said we were unlucky not to have posted a couple of scores. The officials were awful and really gave us jack , the final try coming from a penalty given against us after the first knock on came clearly from a Barrow player just about summed up their performance.
I'm reasonably optinmistic for the forthcoming season and i also think we may well suprise a few teams. Its not going to be easy and i fear we may be a bit lightweight on occasions but we do seem to have agood spirit about us. The return of Henry, Lawton, Simon Brown and Stanley can only strengthen us. One things for sure, i believe we have a group of players who are committed to playing for Donny and will not give less than 100%.

| i must admit i feared the worst and was,nt surprised we were well beaten.the lads gave a good show of thereselves and were still trying at the final whistle.all we can hope for in the future is a ref who knows the double knock on rule,ie the team who knocks on 1st do not get the put in at the scrum, and pulling a player back who is chasing a kick throu is a penalty.and as for the touch judges why bother.sorry i cant make sunday due to work but all the best too the lads it can only get betterCOYD
