| Well considering it is a story that was 150 years in the making it has to be said that last nights "celebration" was a complete let down.
1. Showing the full highlights of 2005 final with the exception of the last 2 minutes as they cut it short.
2. 25 minutes talking about Sundays test match....this was a celebration of Hull Fc, not a test match preview.
3. Raffles prizes....tickets to watch Hull City x 2....WTF
4. Auction prize ....2003 signed Rugby Union Replica ball
5. 9 years old doing the Haka? Why?
6. No audience participation or choruses of Old Faithful at all during the night.
7. Poor choice of venue. Dark and dingy sums it up.
8. No comedian. It felt like a wake rather than a celebration.
9. Very few highlights....Floodlit? 1982 Aussies? Winning the league against Barrow? 1991 Prem? Topliss runaround? Last game at the Boulevard! Etc etc. All these games have easily accessible footage.
10. Poorly compered with reluctant speakers throughout the night.
One plus note was the pie and peas.
Sorry Hull and Mr Clark, the lack of forethought, effort and not really delving into the history of this great club was clear for us all to see.
Very poor

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings.

| To be honest the entire 150 celebration year was a washout, nothing about it inspired me to join in anything. It was not very well organised and lacked punch, we may as well not have bothered.
I ask the question on the choice of ball carriers pre match, no one asked Sammy Lloyd, Knocker or Sullys wife most where ok but there where one or two glaring foul ups.
Maybe me but I still remember the centenary year, just..................
I doubt anyone will remember the events of 2015 in fifty years time and a few of you lot will be about then ....................lol

| James Clark and that McCallister woman are clearly out of their depths.
Things like this have shown that even more.

Does not seem to be exclusive to Hull FC either given Rovers choice of Bobby Bubbles or whatever his name was for their parade!!
I reckon both clubs take one look at the amount of empty shops, pubs and eateries around the Town and think 'these lot will be grateful for any sort of night out and entertainment'!!

He was right in the end: |

| The entire 150th celebrations have been a joke.
Not only on the pitch were we let down but the entire thing was trerrible
I thought some of our pass money for the season went into a pot to fund the celebrations. What happened to that money?

Maybe you should've joined the organising committee?

Maybe you should think about your posts before you respond with a completely irrelevant point.

How is it irrelevant? IIRC the group asked for volunteers for ideas and support at the outset. It's reasonable to question whether those dissatisfied with the output responded.

| Are you James Clark's mum? The whole night was a complete non event. A story 150 years in the making and 30 minutes talking about a test match that has no relevance to Hull Fc as a club. Raffle prizes to attend Hull City matches....do you seriously believe that the fans input would have made a difference?
That's why it is irrelevant.

It was completely relevant.
He branded the entire anniversary programme "a joke". He (or you for that matter) could've asked to be involved in planning events, but I guess it's far easier to just moan about it anonymously on a message board.

It's not irrelevant. There was an opportunity to have a say and offer to participate. Seeing that it was fans who organised/facilitated the event then obviously fans' input was important. On the Hull City tickets, I have no idea what your point is. Are you saying the raffle would have been better with fewer prizes? Perhaps it was a signal of improving relations with the SMC, who knows?

| Does anyone know anyone who was on the committee and what input they had into things? Must admit the whole 150th anniversary passed me by completely, due mainly to the poor product on the pitch probably but also a lack of inspiring events. And no, I didn't volunteer for the committee as I don't have time
