Lion is a bit of a fleapit but we were bouncing about in there to some live music after last seasons fixture.

Check out The Junction pub which is on the corner of Carlton Street. About 2/3 min walk from train and bus station. Nice little pub. Serves real ales and cider with a few lagers on. Decent little pub. Lee Crooks drinks in here often and recomended it on his facebook the other day.

Junction would be the pick for me. The landlord is a real ale fanatic and in particular real ale in wood although there is a selection of Sam Smiths and he has Veltins on for the lager drinkers. 3 log fires as well makes it a cosy and friendly pub.

Real ale in the Junction is top notch Amnesia is one I recommend & obviously Boot room coz a mate owns it, getting a major refit to make it bigger this year !!
