Should the KC have the iPitch. By the sounds of it its the way forward as would be very beneficial, especially at the kc where it takes a constant hammering from both city and us. The pitch always let's the stadium down IMO and always looks terrible. The new iPitch always looks perfect and doesn't wear and tear as much. The only downside is that it could take up to 6 weeks to install which would mean games moved. What are your thoughts? Do you think we should adopt it? Sounds like a no brainier, would be ideal. Costs 500,000 but would be worth it.

| These pitches are not allowed in the Premier League, nor are they allowed to stage international fixtures for rugby league. can't see it happenning here.

Fifa and Eufa recommend it so I would see no reason why the premier league or football league would reject it. Both Hull teams hammer the kc, not just city. Widnes are confident they can get international rugby at stobart with the new pitch. Let's see how it holds up. If it lives up to expectations and it's approved for international and football leagues then it would be a great idea.

| The pitch always looks in good nick when City get it back in August, due to the fact it gets less wear and tear from rugby and the summer/winter issue. Don't want or need an ipitch, thanks.

If it had premier league and international approval it would be a no brainier IMO. Especially with rovers coming to the KC Dennis betts said its amazing and there's no disadvantages. They train on it frequently.
Seems a lot more benefits, especially for the community as more things can be done on a pitch that can handle games and events 7 days a week but there's no point because if you don't need or want it I'm sure the KC won't want or need it, thanks.

The KC pitch doesn't 'always look terrible'. It's fine from about May onwards until we finish.

Is that better?'"
I'll try other boards to see if they want to buy some plastic grass off me. I still believe it would be more beneficial but it's unrealistic at this present time so u understand your views. Surprised this thread hasn't been locked yet though. We all know you mods get trigger happy, especially you chris28. Thanks

It's not been locked as you asked a sensible question but got answers you didn't like and then derailed your own thread into mods being "trigger happy". As far as I'm concerned it stays to discuss the subject.

I was hoping we would get more time on there with Pearson in charge, it has been a disgrace that we hardly ever trained on it, and our results have shown this.

I've never really understood this arguement. Football teams don't generally train on the stadium pitch and I believe the Rhinos don't train at headingly and it hasn't done them any harm.
Back on topic, would constantly changing the pitch markings etc cause a problem?
Sky Sports News did a piece on artificial pitches recently and the premier league definately don't allow them and won't allow them for the foreseeable future. The very unscientific tests they did (football related) suggested that perhaps the risk of injury is greater but I don't necessarily buy that tbh.

I was talking to a City fan in the pub, after the Bradford game. I mentioned how poor the pitch looked, he agreed. Guess what he blamed?
The rugby international in November!!!!!!. Said the pitch had never been right since, and, according to him you can still see the advertising from it, ingrained on the pitch.
