Apologies if this topic may has already been raised, I have'nt really spent much time on this forum for a while. I am sure I cannot be alone when thinking, what the hell is that fella with the mic on the pitch saying! It's possible to pick out the ODD word at times but it's a very poor system. Surely for a state of the art stadium it should be a lot better. Is it because it's too loud or there's too much echo? Certainly needs sorting imo.

I'd be happy if they turned it off whilst that girl is singing.

The sound system is e!! We can never understand a word the guy is saying. It's like being at Hull Fair with the gypsys!

There are several factors, lack of a crowd causing a lot of echo been one, but also the announcers themselves combined with an inability to recalibrate the system, either due to skill or design.

There is a really skill to large arena PA, and making them clear - and the chap who sadly passed away (sorry his name has escaped me), certainly new how to do that and proved that the system is not poop, just we don't know what we are doing.

Someone should just explain to them that they don't have to shout, THAT'S WHY THEY HAVE A MICROPHONE!

Try speaking clearly, giving us the information, without that false enthusiasm. It's not like they have the faintest idea what they are saying, merely reading out information from a piece of paper

I guess it depends where abouts you sit. I don't have any problems understanding what's being announced, but I've seen quite a few people on here unhappy.

Martyn Hainstock was a great announcer and we have been served up with rather poor ones since. Although how much is down to the sound system deteriorating I'm not sure.

Where we sit (SW corner) the speaker is on and off all the time like there's a loose wire. Sounds like Norman Collier!

Be much better if they just turned it off, nothing worse than trying to listen and understanding next to nothing.

Absolutely agree,Martyn could at least whip up some enthusiasm with the crowd,now a feeling of indifference seems to be the norm.
