| I realise that this is unlikely and don't believe it will happen but.....
If we finish 4th, we go to Wigan. Say we win, so we are then play wire/saints away. We lose that one, so we have one game left. So, what if Wigan are left standing as the last team and we have to play them again. Do we play them at home, or would we have to go away again? My thinking was that we must be at home as if we beat them we would then be "ranked" higher?

| If you finish 4th and beat Wigan you get a week off. You'd then have a home play-off to reach the GF, which could be against anybody.

I believe not. Leeds had the choice of Catalans or Wigan last year, I believe. There was some talk on these boards that they might prefer Saints at home rather than at OT, but I don't think it was an option.

It would create a lot of problems if they could, but i hadn't read anywhere that they couldn't, which is why i asked.

| theres no avoiding wigan if we want to get to the final unfortunately.
Beat leeds...weve got wigan!lose to leeds and we'd have to beat hudds to get....wigan in semi(cos they WOULD choose us and we all know it) also fuunnily(or not)enough,if we beat leeds then beat wigan in play-off we would be then sitting pretty for a week off until we get ...(you guessed it)BLOODY WIGAN AGAIN in the semi lol(cos winner of sts-warr wouldnt choose them in semi)

| The team that gets the pick (highest ranked winner from wk1), can only pick from the winners of wk2, so this means that if we happen to beat Wigan away in the 1st match we can't get picked in wk3.

Thats what i said/implied,meaning winner of sts-warr wouldnt be likely to pick wigan out of winning teams leaving us the left overs i.e WIGAN...again!
