Just been announced on the official website that Hull are to release the following players ; Maloney,Lee, G Horne, Thorman, Thackray, Cordoba, Byrne, Tony.

Also announced officially that Paul King is free to talk to other clubs.

For me no real surprises, thanks to the players for all their efforts whilst they have been with us

Agree with the list really.

Byrne gave his all and was a decent player but should never of been signed.
Tony good 5 years from him, never forget the try at Cardiff.
Cordoba was always a short term but would of liked him to stay if possible, wouldn't mind him for 2011.
G. Horne just not good enough but hope he get's him self a good club.
Maloney wasn't give much of a chance but don't think he's big enough for Super League.
Thackray was great in 2005 and good on his come back last year. But isn't professional or good enough anymore for me.
Lee glad he's gone, never rated him and unprofessional. Good ridence.
Thorman isn't a scrum half but the majority of his performances were shocking.

No surprises then and all correct decisions.

A real shame to see Motu Tony go. Todd Byrne never failed to put the effort in but we should be aiming higher. Thackray never reached the standards of 2005 and the others simply weren't good enough for a team with realistic aspirations of being the top club in the game.

As expected to be honest, Josh Cordoba was always a short term deal,to fill a gap!

Great news for big sam Moa. icon_biggrin.gif

Totally agree !!

Motu Tony is a total professional and a really nice guy, not to mention that he has been fantastic for us for 5 years. Very sad to see him go but the correct decision.

Todd Byrne was a dependable and useful player but a very poor use of a quota place.

Thackray and King could have both been so much more and both had to go.

G Horne and Lee should both count themselves lucky to have been here so long and I'm glad to see the back of them.

Thorman was a strange signing and a huge let down. No brainer really even for Hull FC.

Maloney probably just not big enough to make it at a big SL club. Good luck to the guy.

Cordoba turned out to be a really good short term signing and under different circumstances, could easily have stayed.

All in all it shows that we are finally going forward with our squad and we must be challenging for the top six next season, at the very least.
