| I'd love them to come out and state just how much we have p!$$ed down the drain on Crocker.
We know it will have cost us a bit. Just how much?
I think we are entitled to know where our money goes.......

| You talking about the admin costs of his two applications? I wouldn't have thought that would amount to a huge sum TBH.
Do you want to know how much we spent on paper clips as well?

| Gordon Gekko maintains we've paid him nothing, and Rule alluded to this also on KCFM last night.
Why do you say "pi$$ed down the drain"? The change in application of immigration rules was made well after Crocker's signing was announced, but you imply they have fecked up. They have made several mistakes in other areas, but you can't seriously be holding them responsible for a change in Home Office policy?

I never get why fans think this. You pay your money to see the game and that's exactly what it entitles you to.....nothing more.
If you buy a bed from Bob's world of Beds....are you entitled to know what Bob does with your money???
You either choose to buy the product or you don't....nothing more nothing less

He is simply trying to stir it, becuase the rumour is that we have not been paying Crocker, but have been paying Lauaki. Crocker found out, got riled and chucked toys out of the pram. Garbage.
TBH, I don't care how much we have paid Crocker, we must have paid him something though. Without a doubt.

Not so much alluded to, but has said he's not been being paid (in the HDM today).

We won't have paid him his wages. He was never an employee.
We may have paid him a proportion of any signing-on fee, if there was one. That might be claimed back.
Or we may have given him a loan against his wages, which will now need to be repaid.
There are numerous possibilities, but I'm willing to bet we've spent the absolute minimum possible.

Whatever we have paid, and in what manner, I don't hold anyone at FC to blame. I actually admire Crocker/FC for staying "loyal". I think it would be interesting for us all to know though what effect this has on this years cap, don't you think? Imagine if we could throw Crockers entire annual salary at a top top player for this half season left? (visas obviously not withstanding if from overseas)
Can we, pay a player more this year and less say for the next 2. Pro Rata fro example give em Crockers entire annual salary this year, so then for the next 2/3 years something more reasonable? Would be a large incentive would it not?
Unless we have been paying Crockers wages all along.............?

| Some good points from the smallears.
When i'm talking about expenses, lets see how many shirts have to be refunded also.
Trip to Aus for Jimmy and Kath.
Any signing on fee
Possible wages
I'm not "blaming" anyone, as has been said, fair do's to Crocker, he waited. Cant have a go at the board, it's not them that turnes the visa down.
HOWEVER, there still must be some loss to Hull FC financially. I just wondered how much!

Rule stated that the club hadn't been 'left exposed' by the Crocker deal falling through. That would indicate that it's cost us little or nothing. Certainly the impression being given by the club and commentators is that we have all of Crocker's salary to spend now necessary. I don't think there are even any cap issues to worry about as he was never formally a contracted player as he failed to fulfil the basic condition of getting a visa.
Would be nice to have it confirmed officially, mind.
As far as throwing money at a 'top top player' - who did you have in mind? There's been some discussion on other threads, but money is only one part of the equation. You've also got to find a player who wants to come and a club willing to let their best player go mid-season. And he needs to be from the UK (or EU at least) or he won't get here in time.

This sounds very similar to what Wigan got done for. Not sure if it would be within the 'spirit of the cap' or not TBH.

Why would we?

You are slacking.... You forgot the cost of replacing shirts with Crockers name on.
