This would apply to all clubs and any acquisitions they may also make from Salford?

If the RFL are looking at allowing quota dispensations I would look at Nikorima as although he comes with a risk he offers something we don't have currently and think under Cartwright he'd go well. I can understand the quota dispensation but think the dispensation on salary cap wouldn't be a good move to be honest. I would imagine the club will be looking at Bullock, McDonald, Lafai and Nikorima as well as Cross, Sneyd not to sign them all but give us best chance to get 2 or maybe 3 would be the best fit in terms of an edge, a middle and a half. I doubt very much if the RFL would sanction 2 quota players so it would one of Nikorima, McDonald, Lafai. Those would then be dependent of if Sneyd comes back, if he does then McDonald or Lafai would massively improve us. If Sneyd doesn’t come and we go for Nikorima that would rule us out of McDonald & Lafai. With the update re quota dispensation we may possibly already be looking at Nikorima instead of Sneyd who knows. Certainly going to be interesting over the next 24hrs

Think Cust will have a huge season for us and gives us better balance in the halves.

I'm probably in the minority in saying i wouldn't be too disappointed if we miss out on Sneyd. We already have an organising 7 in Sezer. Would prefer Nikorima for a season and go all out for Will Pryce for next year.

Personally think he's doing a decent job as DOR, given what he was up against when he joined and also effectively learning on the fly. He's still finding his feet as a DOR and should have been left to continue gaining experience in this role, so to throw the job of Chief Executive his way on top of that aswell, a role which he will have even less experience and knowledge in, seems a truly bizarre choice. I'm sure AT is guiding him and mentoring him along the way, but would have preferred to see a more experience hire in this role. Learning 2 such important positions simultaneously will not be an easy feat for the guy and could very easily lead to dropping the ball somewhere.

Is he in effect doing what James Clarke was doing - wasn't he doing both roles?

I hope they bring in some specialists like marketing and finance as the office team has been pared to the bone I recently years

It's not great that Richie will be approving contracts he's drawn up himself, a good CEO would at least be asking the DOR some questions to sense to check that club aren't yet again entering a bad player deal. Do realise that sometimes a Head Coach will demand a certain player regardless of what the DOR and/Or CEO think though.

Surely we can swap some bang average players out and create some more cap space The League suggesting we can take on an extra Overseas signing if helping Salford and extra salary cap.
