I'd still release him. As good as he probably is, we don't know. He just hasn't played enough. We just can't waste a quota spot. Right know, signing Knight makes much more sense. Don't most clubs have injury clauses allowing for player to be released if they can't stay fit?

| We can't just bin him off, we'd need to agree with him to pay him off. If it happens pre next season I think it doesn't count on the cap but not 100% on that.
It would be a difficult one to navigate with Carty Snr but it's hopeless having his salary and a quota spot on the sidelines every week

| I thought the club were looking into the leg injuries situation and the training pitch when Richie arrived ?

| This was the team that beat Cas at their place earlier in the season, Starting 13 Jordan Rapana, Tom Briscoe, Davy Litten, Ed Chamberlain, Lewis Martin, Cade Cust, Aidan Sezer, Herman Ese’ese, Amir Bourouh, Liam Knight, Jordan Lane, Brad Fash, John Asiata Hull Interchanges: Jack Ashworth, Logan Moy, Sam Eseh, Will Kirby
squad will look similar friday night, minus Asiata and Lane, no reason why we cant get a result

It would be a difficult one to navigate with Carty Snr but it's hopeless having his salary and a quota spot on the sidelines every week Wasn't suggesting for a minute we 'just bin him off' but as you say the club cannot continue to carry him if they can't get him on the field consistently. Unless he returns in the next couple of weeks and plays the rest of the season without further injury, his value to the club must be in serious doubt regardless of who he is related to. I'd hope that the coach and CEO have too much integrity for that.

cas aren't really the problem though. We have lots more difficult games coming up with some key players out long term and not a lot of quality coming back any time soon

| Injury update: Pryce - hamstring 10-12 weeks Asiata - 8-10 weeks Cartwright - slight set back but not ruled out long term Lane - still a way to go Cust - fine Borough - fine Watts - available next week probably
So we'll have to get ourselves into the playoffs without Asiata and Pryce most likely but should be back for the run-in if we can grind out some wins. Not ideal but when is it ever?!

We have lots more difficult games coming up with some key players out long term and not a lot of quality coming back any time soon no they aren't, but 9 of our remaining games are at home, if the bulk of them were away then i would say the odds against us. If that stupid rule comes into play regarding match minutes, could make it even worse
