| Onto the bogiest of bogey teams. Away. Out of everyone in the championship, our win/loss ratio against Barrow must be one of the worst in the league.
I said this and the York game will define our season. If we fall behind York I can't see us getting it back. So it's time for the "we're hurting after a poor performance" talk to stop, and step up. Crucial couple of weeks coming up.
I think Noble will bring Meadows back and put Lilley back in at Hooker with Ott on bench.

| Difficult game, no doubt. As per the York games we are at risk defensively and the Batley game has not convinced me we have addressed those issues. It's one thing keeping Batley with their current woes to a single try another entirely when facing teams who have already beaten us and have the belief they can beat us again. Having said that we have a strong squad who can go to Barrow and get the win.

| I'm not confident. We have a decent side on paper but they look tired and things just aren't clicking in attack and the left side defence is weak.
Any kind of win would be a big result at the moment.

| If Nobby is true to form from the old days, the Bulls should start upping there overall game from July onwards. Barrow could be an embarrasing banana skin especially after their win last match, their confidence will be high! Hopefully Nobby will have a full squad to pick from barring the odd niggle and need to rest a player!

| Attack not clicking? We have the second best points for in the league. Its our defence that is tanking us

Yep, it's all down to defence. If we can show the desperation to defend our goal line that we have done intermittently this season and keep Barrow to only a few scores, we have enough to outscore them. Ruck speed is key. And keeping the ball in play. And not giving away errors or penalties which both kills our momentum and allows the opposition a breather.

| Out wide worries me. Barrow can play with freedom and ping the ball out to Ritson and expose Okunbor again. Really need to play to put strengths. Kicking game crucial, make sure we need it well by putting a high kick for Okunbor & Armitage to attack against Ritson and Shaw etc

| Personally I thought our attack against Batley was woeful. That Batley side were game but ripe for a 60 point mauling. We were nowhere near the attacking threat we should be right now and that worries me.

| Ott had one of his worst halves of rugby for us. If the hooker has an off day a lot of the attack becomes clunky.

It wasn't his finest but he's been out injured and then barely played so it is going to take some time for him to find his way.

Oh yeah, he improved in the second half and the attack improved with him. His best game for us was the reverse fixture earlier in the season at Batley where he could do nothing wrong. As Souter is out, we have an opportunity for him to get a run of games, also Hallas will be less available to cover hooker as he will need to be LF as Donaldson is injured.

| Well, they announced Donno's 4th ACL rupture yesterday, from the Doncaster game. 4, that's almost unheard of. Poor guy, another 9month layoff. The club will support him, I'm sure. Although he must have some serious mental resilience to go through this a 4th time!
