You could say he's a similar type player to pita Godinet and I think we missed his speed at the play the ball against widnes . Wildie had the chance to step up and while didn't do any thing wrong, did very little to impress. He may come though so I'm not writing him off yet

I'd like to see Sammut at hooker, I think he'd go well for us there, plus gives us a bit more creativity, kicking options and a bit of off that off the cuff play he does so well

What exactly did you expect Wildie to do for the 20 minutes he was on considering we defended for about 15/16 minutes of that 20.

Wildie was essentially there to keep it tight ready for McShane, Tautai etc to come off the bench and exploit a fatigued Widnes. I'm not saying Sammut & McShane wouldn't be a better option but I can't believe folk are criticising Wildie.

His defence isn't great though so could be a gamble having at hooker against what is normally a big Catalan pack

I agree but the counter to that would be that his speed could be a big threat to a large tiering pack.

Think its worth the risk as not many teams go and win in france. That said would be waiting to see what happens in the disciplinary hearings this week before looking at options available to us.
